Mushroom hunting all day in the forest // Enjoying mushrooms at night with friends

in FungiFriday6 days ago

Happy Friday to all my beloved hive friends and to all the mushroom lovers I respect ♥️

Yesterday my friend and I went for a walk in the forest to hunt for mushrooms, because today is my chance to show off some pictures of mushrooms that I managed to find, I went for a walk in the forest when it was still morning and spent time until the afternoon, and I managed to get some satisfying results.

A few days earlier I had also been in the forest but I did not get satisfactory results, so yesterday I wanted to focus on spending the whole day hunting for mushrooms, but this time I went to a palm oil plantation owned by a local resident, and when I arrived at the palm oil plantation, my friend immediately looked for some mushrooms there.

And when I was walking around the oil palm plantation, I finally found a kind of mushroom growing on the roots of dead oil palm trees.

To be able to find this mushroom, we have to pay very close attention because this mushroom is very small, its small size and shape are like plants, so it will be very difficult to distinguish this mushroom from plants if we do not pay close attention.

I don't know the name of this mushroom. However, the shape and color of this mushroom made me very interested in taking some pictures of it.

And when I was busy taking some pictures of the mushrooms, my friend was also there, he also looked very busy taking pictures of the mushrooms he found.

In essence, my friend and I really enjoyed it, and after we took some pictures that I had managed to find in this place, we immediately continued our journey to explore this garden on foot.

And after walking for a few minutes, I found several other mushrooms that had a very unique color, namely orange, and had a chewy texture.

From the picture we can see the texture of the mushroom which looks very chewy, and this mushroom itself is also very rarely seen in my place, and I also found this mushroom on a dead and rotting kapok tree branch.

My friend and I don't know the name of the mushroom, but because this mushroom has a chewy shape, we call it jelly mushroom.

We also had time to rest at the place where the mushrooms were found, because we felt tired after going around the oil palm plantation. However, the problem at that time was that it was already midday and our stomachs were already feeling extremely hungry, which made us have to negotiate between going home or continuing the mushroom hunt.

However, my friend brought some supplies such as some cakes and a pack of coffee, and we decided to eat the cakes to fill our very hungry stomachs, although it was not enough but it was enough to fill our stomachs a little.

And after we rested and filled our stomachs with some cakes, we immediately continued our journey exploring the oil palm plantation.

However, after almost an hour of walking around the garden, we did not find any more mushrooms, which made us a little discouraged, and we decided to go to another garden. And when I was about to leave the garden and was right at the garden fence, suddenly my friend found a unique mushroom.

This mushroom looks ordinary if we look at it from the front, but this mushroom will look so enchanting if we look at the back.

Beautiful isn't it? This mushroom has a beauty on the back that resembles an architecture, and it can be said that this is a natural architecture found in mushrooms, initially I didn't want to take a picture of this mushroom because it looked ordinary, but after seeing the back of this mushroom, I was immediately interested in taking some pictures of this mushroom.

And after taking some pictures of the mushrooms, we immediately continued our journey to another garden, but in the middle of the journey, suddenly another friend of mine called to tell us to go home immediately because they had bought some mushrooms to cook and eat.

And we immediately sped up our motorbike to get home quickly, and when we got home it turned out that my friend had bought some mushrooms with unique shapes to cook and eat.

These mushrooms come in round shapes, while others are shaped like umbrellas.

My friend bought this mushroom for Rp. 20,000 in Indonesian currency or 7.6 with the current hive price per bag, this is included in the cheap price category for one bag of this mushroom. And in my place this mushroom is called straw mushroom.

We immediately divided up the tasks for processing the mushrooms, and it so happened that my job at that time was to clean the mushrooms, and I did it happily

And after I cleaned the mushrooms, my friend immediately brought them into the house to be stored first because we planned to cook the mushrooms with noodles when night fell.

And while waiting for night to come, I immediately went inside to eat a lot of rice first to fill my stomach which was already very hungry, and to replace the lunch that I had missed earlier, and after that I immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower and clean myself first before night came.

And when night fell, my friend immediately continued his task of cooking mushroom noodles, while I just waited in the living room until the noodles were cooked, and after waiting a few minutes, finally my friend called me to the kitchen because the mushroom noodles were ready to be cooked.

And we immediately took the plates and took our share, of course having dinner with friends is a very enjoyable thing.

And this is my share

It looks very simple, but this simplicity is what makes us feel very happy, because happiness itself does not always come from luxury, for me happiness is a feeling that can make us smile and feel calm.

Those are some pictures and stories of my excitement hunting for mushrooms from morning to afternoon and continuing into the night. Of course it is an honor for me to share them here. Hopefully this post can provide entertainment for all my friends.
