Introduction

Yuletide season is really the best part of every year because of the cool weather conditions and wonderful celebrations. During these seasons in this part of the world, we have slightly arid periods with coolest and gentle breeze with undoubtedly dust from the neighboring and largest desert in the world, Sahara Desert. With this kind of weather conditions, many outdoor activities and celebrations are favored and enjoyed by all.

Apart from the weather, Yuletide season offers a period of relaxation and get together as many businesses, works and schools are on vacation. For example, as a teacher, our school calendar closed by December 12th so that everyone will relax and enjoy themselves. Great time to be with others informally and visit places with them too. I visits some of many friends at their homes which normally works can't allow me or give me enough time to play with them.

Visitation and hospitality is really the keywords during this period of the year. We get to meet many people and enjoy good times with them. For example, I supposed to visit my hometown but it did not work out for me this year but my wife traveled to their place. Asking her on phone, she narrated how sweet to be at home. They have meetings with other family members and discussed on ways forward. They were able to settle set difficulties of last year and strengthen their bond for better future. What a great occasion indeed! Yuletide remains the perfect period for socialization, relaxation and fun.

Many companies and business establishments favors this season with their welfare packages which improves humanity and socialization. They will organize many shows for the promotion of their wares with many entertainment platforms to make people happy and increase their sales. For example, on December 25th, we enjoyed a dance over party on our streets with several people and it was sponsored by a local brewery in our area. We drinks and merrier so well with others.

Yuletide season offers another rare chances of meeting others for crucial reasons. In this part of the world and as our culture favors, we usually marry from our stocks and maintain our family ties. During these seasons, people of same cultural heritage of every place on earth traveled their hometown and villages for matchmaking and marriages. This year alone, many of my cousins and extended family members are getting married with others based on this arrangement. It usually a great pleasure to behold such a union because of its great importance in preserving our bloodline and cultural heritage.

Truly, Yuletide season is a blessing and enjoyment. It favors youth development too. In many villages, football competitions are organized and supported by the wealthy families. Youths with sporting skills and talents are recognized and support to achieve their dreams. In my village, we have chances of having two brothers, Ikechukwu and Uche to represent our country, Nigeria in football events as super eagles players as they are known because of such grassroot sporting and youth development events that Yuletide seasons brings.

Finally

Yuletide season have come and went by with experiences and lessons learnt. Although it's very entertaining and fun but it comes with many expensive things and trips. We should learn on how to be more balanced to enjoy the season to it's fullest.
