If you are from India, and love nature and trekking then there is no way you would not have heard the name of KEDARKANTHA. Famous for its summit at 12500 feet. This is a magnificant place for all who love camping and love hiking.
I went there in December 2020. And it was a surreal experience to be in nature. The only down side was the no of people and how much destruction we humans have done to forests.
It was a 4 day trek starting from the base which was at 6000 feet we have to climb about 12 kms up in 3 days and then come down all of 12 kms in 1 day. it was challenging but it was fun as well. I found my self in middle of a blizzard at the base camp with temp dropping to -20 degree Celsius.
I started at Sankari ( a sleepy village at the base of the hill) , There is no cell towers there and no signals. Electricity is erratic and people are good there.
First day there was no snow and the hike was good. On second day i saw black ice and slipped couple of times. The hike was quite steep and it threw quite a challenge. Rested at Juda ka talab ( a natural pond, which freezes due to extreme cold). and then next day we left for Kedarkantha base camp. Oxygen was not proper and after 3 pm the temperature dropped to -10 with in an hour.
Here are some of the pictures i had taken .

this village is amazing, accommodation options are quite expensive in "ON SEASON". you can get a guest house in around 500 in summers but in winters you need to shell out 4000 a night. All prices are in indian rupees.
Also you would need a full trekking gear with tent and everything. as it is national park
