Una caja amarilla / A yellow box

Una berenjena y un hongo Shiitake,
hablaban sin molestar a nadie,
uno decía que se sentía desagradable
y el otro respondía que olía irritante.

El hongo le habla a la berenjena
y una caja amarilla le muestra,
le dice que entre en ella
que ha oído que hace cosas excéntricas.

An eggplant and a shiitake mushroom
were talking without bothering anyone.
One said it felt unpleasant,
and the other replied that it smelled irritating.

The mushroom speaks to the eggplant,
and a yellow box shows up.
It tells the eggplant to get inside,
saying it has heard that the box does eccentric things.

La berenjena ahí entra
y el Shiitake con paciencia espera,
tras un tiempo emerge de ella
la berenjena que lleva algo en la cabeza.

Sale con una gallina azulada
que ahora adorna su cara,
se ve linda, se siente agraciada
y el shiitake quiere también los beneficios de la caja.

The eggplant enters
and the shiitake waits patiently,
after a while it emerges from it,
the eggplant carrying something on its head.

It comes out with a bluish hen
that now adorns its face,
it looks pretty, it feels graceful,
and the shiitake also wants the benefits of the box.

El hongo entra a la caja amarilla
y sale con una cosa distinta,
no es una gallina
lleva una lámina de una sopa sencilla.

Ahora huele a comida,
ya no lleva una fragancia qué irrita
y la berenjena se ve linda
ya no se siente fea como se creía.

The mushroom enters the yellow box
and comes out as something different,
it's not a chicken,
it carries a slice of simple soup.

Now it smells like food,
it no longer has an irritating fragrance,
and the eggplant looks pretty,
it no longer feels ugly as it once believed.
