Memory's Light

Have you ever wondered how we remembered where we kept the stockings we wore yesterday for school or work? Do you imagine a network of vehicles going to and fro, or maybe the classic image of robots sending and receiving data from the outside and storing them in files?
Well, I have a story to share. Of the man who discovered the guiding light, The Light of Memory, and that man is me. So, I was walking back home from school, about 2km from where I lodged, which made time for a good old daydream.

Dressed in my usual black trousers and white collar, long-sleeved T-shirt that were for me uniform for school, I walked along the path made for pedestrians. The cars zoomed past me from time to time, and as I walked, I spoke to myself, I do that a lot, "What if these cars and everything around me stopped moving, except me?" Then maybe I could see everything clearly, especially for those things that, because of their speed, we cannot perceive them. I thought light, yeah! Light is the fastest thing known to man, so if everything would stop, I could see it as it is and maybe touch it.

Then it happened! That this mind-blowing thought emerged from deep within me, "What if I could hold all the thoughts coming to my mind at a pause for a moment and see these thoughts as they are?" So, for a moment, while walking, I closed my eyes, and it felt like the air was still, and my bones froze, and I could see all my thoughts. They were like sparks of electricity flowing in a defined path that I could not follow. I saw these materials (my thoughts) ferried on these vehicles that glowed around them. Then I remembered the lighthouses that light the paths for ships to follow and or avoid. Therefore, I called those glowing things carrying the substances (my thoughts) LIGHT. It was at this moment that I came to myself by the honking of a car. I wondered to myself, what had just happened? Have I unlocked the secret of the universe? I became amazed by the universe in my head.

So, yeah, end of story. But, thinking about this, it makes sense why our thoughts come to our minds, and we cannot hold all or most of them. Well, they are moving super-fast like light.
So, there it is, the guiding light for our memories. I don't know how useful this would be for you. For me, it has helped me to let go of a lot of things and to improve my memory in recalling, by looking for their lights(images) and calling them.

I hope you find these lights and discover this unique world unexplored in our heads or, better, in our minds. There is still much more, but I leave that to you to uncover the wonders of the universe we carry within and the one we live in.
