I have heard that people who can read it in the original French say it is so much better. I am jealous of you! I think a lot of it is translated, but some of it remain untranslated, which is so sad for us who cannot read French.

We are losing the french language , slowly , that is why i write poetry , to keep it alive in my heart.
That is happening to most languages, to be honest. My own home language, Afrikaans, is also fading away as most parents choose to educate their children in English. Such a shame.
Poetry is such a strong vehicle to keep languages alive, so keep on writing.
