Painting together

A square full of pigeons, a church built of characteristic red tiles in the background, a row of carriages with horses waiting for tourists who want a ride... yes, this is a snap from Krakow, known to those who have visited this place as tourists or if they have already attended one of the Hive meetups held in this Polish city.

I was lucky to meet for the very first time this magical place two years ago. But it was October. Now, in the middle of November, the days are significantly shorter and although I took this photo some moments ago (it is 5:30 now when I am starting to write this post), it is already dark now. I am getting ready to leave our accommodation and head towards... towards The Kingdom!

6:00 pm

We arrived at The Kingdom - @krolestwo (a few minutes late though... could be that in Spain the time passes at a different pace than here in Poland so we didn't calculate well the arrival time? 😂) at the Big Opening of the Workshop and HiveBeeCon.

After meeting and greeting the already familiar Hivers and some new people, while missing all the others who couldn't attend this time HiveBeeCon, a very important work started here! Painting clay tiles with Hive and Krolestwo logo, which will become fridge magnets in the end.

@hallmann holding the logo of The Kingdom

Btw, their logo has changed since we were here two years ago. Earlier it was the face of a poet and now it is a key, which is much simpler but makes a lot of sense. It is a key with an infinity sign and a crown. I think it is a great logo and David also said that it actually works. Many people get curious when see a key drawn somewhere on the street or find a clay tile with it. In the end, when they find the key and its meaning, when they find this place, they are happy. Challenge fulfilled - the key was found.

@foggymeadow painting a key

A few of us joined this little workshop... @akipponn, @alessandrawhite, @blind-spot, @mynewlife and even @ph1102. He surprised me actually with this as I know he didn't like painting lessons when he was small. 🤭
So, I chose this Hive clay tile and decided it will be red. Traditional colours first! 🤪

For the second one, I chose a different Hive clay tile, and the colour I mixed from red, blue and white turned out something like purple. I really loved painting this one!

And it didn't stop here... I also painted a third one. A combination of blue and white Hive logo was born here:

Around 8:00 pm

While I was painting these clay tiles in the workshop room, I heard from the other room someone playing the tune of Jingle Bells... there was someone trying to learn it and I heard always the same mistake. That one wrong note repeated many times made me stand up, leave the painting activity for a moment and correct that mistake. 😂 Professional deformation haha

Photographer- @gtg 😁

Mission completed - the girl in the end learned the Jingle Bells tune, after the intervention of several piano teachers. 🎶

11:00 pm

So, the first day of HiveBeeCon finished as we all went home to rest and prepare ourselves for the day 2, which is tomorrow. I hope to make a little report tomorrow as well. 😉

I regret that we didn't manage to meet Ksawery (my 8-year-old son - learning to play) at the piano today... But we nibbled some cocoa beans together for chocolate ☺️

Yes, it was fun to peel those cocoa beans. Unfortunately, I washed my hands hahah 😂so no more chocolate smell from them.

For the piano, I wish your son a lot of fun while learning to play, it is really great that he likes it so much. Playing the piano has so many benefits, but the most important one is that it gives happiness 😇
Nice to meet you, @small.minion 👋

I know you love painting little things! What a great news the Hive event!
Enjoy it... warm regards for every body!!!

You would love being here, I am sure. The hosts here are talented and always full of new ideas :)

Yes, I would love to be there...we had a Tango festival about 2 weeks ago, I met some people from Polonia there. They even prepared polonian food...I love Hivers meetings.. are special. This days Hivers from central and west province of Cuba are preparing some help to send it to Hivers from the east provinces, that got damage by the huracán...

You are such a cool little group of talented, kind and lively people. Sooo sweet. 🥰

It was fun to paint together, 🎨 thank you 😊

Congratulations !!

Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?

Looks like you had a nice group of people attending there .

Yeah, and today a few more Hivers will join us 😇

Good morning @mipiano. I'm not quite sure what to say, the whole post has a very special feel. I love the Kingdom's logo. I also loved how the Hive logos turned out in their different colors; I especially liked the purple one.

The city is beautiful, at least it seems that way. I wish you another great day spent with other Hive members.

Big hugs.

Good evening @enraizar, sorry for my late reply, the day was full of activities, non-stop 😇
It is indeed a special place, that is why that special feel. Today more Hivers came and as I mentioned, it was a full day. Tomorrow a bit more, so I guess a bit of a rest will be good hahaha. Thank you and good night 😴

Good evening @mipiano, there's no need to apologize. I'm looking forward to seeing all those activities. 👓

Good night, I wish you a restful sleep. 🤗

Buenas noches 💤

Buenas nocches 😊

See you today!

And indeed, we saw each other hahah. See you tomorrow again 😉

That key logo is beautiful, but yours are even better... rocks painted with Hive... they were rocks, and that's all there is to it! Hahaha, I love them!

But what I like most is that you couldn't help showing off the melody note. I'm the same way with painting! I was dying of laughter while reading! Long live my piano!!!

Thank you 😊
I know you would love to be here, apart from having many painting material in the Kingdom, there are also so many museums in Krakow. I haven't visited so many of them since a long time!

Hahaha, a little professional deformation we suffer from 😁
Thank you and good night 😴

And me... I spend my time visiting museums. You'd be surprised by how many folders of visits I have on my hard drive, haha, and I love it... and those rocks are great.

Have a spectacular day!... Madre mía!!!🤣

someone playing the tune of Jingle Bells...

@valhus ;)

Have a wonderful time sharing this event. How wonderful that you were able to play the melody. Interesting photos from that era, I love them. The tiles turned out very nice. Congratulations.

Thank you, we are still there and today was even more fun :)

No matter which art genre you seem to have an overall creative talent :-) - enjoy Poland

Hahaha, this was actually a lot of fun 😁 - the painting thing. Today I also played the piano 😉
Thank you, we do enjoy it but it's a bit cold weather 🥶😂

That's a great idea for making hand stamps, they look like that, I love them!

They are so cool! Now my ones already have magnets glued to the other side, so when we arrive home they will adorn the fridge 🥰

😃👏🏻♦️

Extraordinario recorrido un lugar diferente y creativo muchos Buenos momentos para ustede

Gracias 😇
