..Years to cultivate liketu?
Yes, I'm back with another quasi-idiom to talk about some of the changes that we're making here at liketu. I think as someone deeply invested into the Hive ecosystem, it has always been important for me to look at things with a multi-year time horizon. I mean heck, we announced liketu in 2018 and didn't get round to putting out something useable until the end of 2021! Three years in the works, and now we are just over 3 months since going "live."
There have been numerous issues since going live, many we didn't foresee, and others we thought we would have to deal with as we gained a little bit of traction. A lot of the issues were technical, others were cultural pain-points revolving around the culture that we're trying to establish and complying to the existing established community norms. Finding solutions to these require navigating potential solutions in different ways.
Over the past three months, we recognised the importance of building our presence further into the existing blog culture, but doing so without completely axing our own cultural identity. On the one hand, we firmly believe that short-form picture based content can be just as "valuable" in the Hive ecosystem, but equally, we wanted to make sure that the experience was improved to a point where making these kinds of short form posts can be a two way value exchange.
These are some of the things we changed / added
Note: We are constantly listening to feedback from all stakeholders and so none of these things are cemented in stone
Post rewards from voting are now visible.
It's always been our philosophy to attract users from other platforms who are already posting pictures. We didn't want the rewarding aspect of it to be the highest priority and therefore excluded it from view. In-fact, we went to some lengths to make the vanilla experience largely agnostic to post rewards with synthetic on chain likes, and ranking algorithms not based on the pending rewards of posts. However, we can't ignore that the voting rewards system remains a core sell and it has worked quite well to incubate and grow our initial user base.
Reworked feed views to reduce clutter and increase visibility of pictures.
After working with @derangedvisions and taking onboard a lot of his feedback on the feed views, we've updated the look and feel to de-clutter not only the post cards, but the entire feed. We're all about pictures, so having minimal obstructions to the pictures on post cards was desirable. We also reduced the number of cards in a row to 4 and increased the size of the cards themselves. We believe this allows people to judge what posts they want to view at a glance, and not suffer from too much information presented to them all at once.
New Post modal content view for enhanced picture consumption.
The bulk of the changes come in a new pop up post modal to replace the perm-link view of posts. You can now scroll down to anywhere on a page, click on a post card, and have the pop up post modal appear with all the post content as well as comment. Images here are rendered in higher resolution and the gallery pops up when you mouse over to allow you to skip between pictures within the post.
A small addition we made was the ability to caption every picture. This has some positive effects on posts viewed outside of Liketu as now each picture can have their own description under it, instead of all of the descriptive text in the post description.
Comments now work!
Along with the new post modal, the comments have been fixed. Previously, only comment depth of 1 was visible, and the threading of comment depth >1 was broken.
Making a reply through liketu also by default tags the user that you are replying to.
Posting to a community of your choice (not default liketu) *more on this later
Liketu was always meant to be a picture based front-end that allowed for participation across all of the various niche communities which already existed on Hive. While all the posts made with liketu.com are still visible through the site and indexed in whichever way they are tagged, users can now make use of posting to any communities through the post constructor. This should hopefully let users participate with their content posted on liketu in other communities and expand our reach at the same time. Shout outs to @acidyo for bringing this up early on.
Standardised Monetization options
Monetization was confusing before and has been reworked to be in line with the options used on other front-ends. A key point to note here is that Declining Author Rewards sends the author rewards to hive.fund. This is likely to be something people might want to use for posting unoriginal picture(s) / text but the discussion/debate value is still worth being ranked on Hive for visibility. Curators would still be rewarded and so this option can be changed if community consensus is that curators should also not be rewarded for voting posts with Declined Author Rewards.
All other options are familiar if you're a Hive user posting on other front-ends.
Watermarks removed entirely
Feedback from many in the photography community have opined that watermarks deter them from using the platform. We have no reason to force this on any users and will make this an opt-in option in the future. Watermarked pictures can still be of "value" for bringing users who might see the picture somewhere outside of HIVE.
What next?
Onboarding / Referrals
Whilst hiveonboard is a wonderful tool, we feel that a native account creation feature is needed on liketu to bring us more in line with user expectations joining us for the first time from outside of Hive. We have been claiming account tokens and building up a bank of them for when we enable native accounts created by us. We also intend to offer a similar referral system where we give referrers 1% beneficiary rewards from accounts they refer, in addition to the 1% they also earn from premium subscription fees their referee accounts earn.
Account creation will be free, but will likely require SMS verification.
Premium features / PPVs / DMs / Freemium features
Building upon our premium subscription features, the next phase of this will be to allow more ways for creators to tap into people willing to pay for content. Currently users are able to create tiers and lock access to people who purchase subscriptions. Another popular method is set a PPV per locked post for those who may not want to subscribe, but want to purchase premium content.
Along with PPVs, Direct Messaging will be added to allow for more interaction between creators and their audience. Creators who are popular, commonly face the problem of being unable to effective apportion their time to engage with their audience. DMs are a good way to let followers bid on more personal interactions with their creators whilst letting creators prioritise and potentially earn further in private messages.
Mobile Web/App
Three months ago, we began work on making a dedicated mobile web app to serve likers on the go. We decided to design and build it from scratch because it serves as a Segway to building a full on native app for mobiles. I'll share some screens in the gallery for what it currently looks like.
Final thoughts
I began this post with an idiom. In it's original form : 十年树木,百年树人 it literally translates to, "Ten years to nurture a tree, one hundred years to cultivate a person," it is about comparing the time it takes between growing a tree and growing a talent. Many of us subscribe to the idea that talent is something we are innately born with, but I tend to subscribe to the idea that it is nurtured. In my previous post, I talked about my aspirations to become a musician, and despite not taking that path, I still put well over 15 years of practice in to play at a reasonably high level. Many would say that I am talented, but I only see blood sweat and tears. Everybody observes the end results, but they rarely see what it takes to get there.
I consider Liketu to be the same. We might not appear to be doing very much, but much is getting done, and our roadmap is more akin to 100 years than 10. Everybody loves to say how "early" we are in crypto, but the reality is, it really is early here at liketu. I am inspired everyday by the people I meet on hive, the support, the criticisms, the wonderful ever growing community as a whole. I am enamoured to be part of something much greater than myself and be working on contributing towards a brighter future for all of us.
Thank you gang, and see you all on Liketu!
For the best experience view this post on Liketu
Thank you for this wonderful update @elmerlin. Can't wait to try it. Just posted now but surely I'll try the newer update. Yay! 😊
Yay, you can caption your lovely photos, and enjoy the new post cards / post views!
Yey! Perfect. I will in my next post 😊🥰
I haven't posted for several days. I just went up and found that the web page was updated. It's very good 👍
Especially add the title of the picture, which is very good . It's easy to read at a glance. 👍
The next time I post, I can add a title.
thank you
Yes, I think with pictures, having a description can be quite the value add. We already have tags on the actual images (which nobody is currently really using) but I think they will be quite important for content discovery later on when there are many more users.
Excellent update!
I’m looking forward to the onboarding/referrals and especially having a sleek mobile app.
Onboarding really is quite a challenge, we've been thinking of ways to break the bottleneck of hive account creation as once we open up the doors, we'd be spending a good deal of resources on outreach campaigns. It would be a shame if we have the demand but fail to meet it. I'm not sure a few thousand account claim tickets will suffice.
Just saw this post introducing DACTER to assist with account creation and wanted to share it with you, if you haven't already discovered it.
https://peakd.com/hive-engine/@aggroed/introducing-dacter-a-hive-engine-created-opensource-layer-2-based-hive-account-creation-tool
Does it seem like something that could resolve some of the onboarding concerns with Liketu?
Thank you for that, I had a quick peruse, it might be something we can use, although I get the feeling it is more a matter of handling trust when creating the accounts. Part of the reason I delegate to the liketu account instead of powering up the account is to let it claim the DACTs without leaving a significant amount of exposure of risk to it in the event of security leaks (though we don't actually have any system in place for using active keys for creating accounts yet)
It somewhat technical, but figured I’d share with you just in case.
This whole thing will be a process to figure out how to nail perfectly, that’s for sure.
You are so excellent. I saw the difference when I posted tonight. It's very convenient 👍👍👍
Thanks ying, you've been doing well on it, hope to see you use the new functions!
Congratulations Liketu! Eversince I joined hive last year, I was actually looking for a dapp similar to instagram since I'm using it almost everyday to post my photos as I love taking pictures. I always put my heart into every photographs I had and even learned the basics of editing. And here comes Liketu! for the past 2 weeks that I have been posting frequently, I can't help but to be grateful about your efforts into making this kind of dapp here in hive! :) I am loving the changes you made, especially the captions! I am so excited to post everyday and view my beautiful liketu feed just like what I did with my instagram account. I hope that Liketu will continue to prosper :) Cheers Elmerlin and to all the people behind liketu! :)
It's great that you have a really good command of the kinds of posts that are admired across all of social media. They are really wonderful. Hopefully we can grow the user base to a whole new magnitude of size and then more people can not only contribute, but also enjoy quality pictures such as the ones you post!
I've recently introduced my colleague who take photos just like a professional does @uebermensch , the reason why he didn't blog on hive is because he's conscious with the words but with liketu, even a simple captions can do. Now he posted his first and invited the others to do as well. 😊 I think liketu will really have wide variety of users in the future! :) And thank you for appreciating my work too. 😊😊 It means a lot!
This is so brilliant.
I remember thinking to myself the other day, what if I could just post my original pictures through the Liketu front-end in various communities I want to share that discussion on. And wala, my thoughts became a reality today.
I am so happy about this as sometimes I want to post on the go and I don't have my laptop with me, so I have to wait until I get home before I can make a post. So I am thrilled to see works for this are in full gear.
Indeed. Many would rather associate and celebrate the success stories but rarely the process (the rejections and the acceptance, the failures and the wins, the setbacks and the milestones, etc) it took to arrive.
You know you'll see me there.
I'm already an addict 😂😂😂You are welcome Chief @elmerlin
P.S: You are building something that would outlive you, that stuff takes work. It is an impressive platform and I am looking forward to more features to come! We stay enjoying the experience now while we wait on the future to come😉😊
Believe it or not, when we first embarked on building liketu, communities weren't even a thing, and when we launched, we defaulted to posting to a single community out of convenience. There is still a lot of things we can do to help people construct posts in a more beautiful way when viewed from other front-ends but we have to prioritise how it looks on ours as that's what many new people will see when they join for the first time.
Still, we're at the beginning of the journey and I'm looking forward to seeing us all grow together, addicts n all!
We all look forward to the experience now and in the coming years.
This is huge!😊😊😊
I am really digging the updates. They have made things look a lot more sleek and streamlined. It will be cool to see how Liketu continues to evolve. Once the mobile app is released, I really think things will begin to take off. Liketu has so much potential to bring people to Hive and give them somewhat of a familiar social media experience right out the gates.
As always thank you for the continuous feedback, we're always looking at ways to make changes/additions to improve the experience. Still a ways to go, but the challenge is exciting!
No problem. I am hoping that Liketu is going to do great things for the blockchain.
great update locking so cool and so much new option.i have a little question when I select other community liketu supported thos post???
When you select other communities, you're posting to them from liketu, so it'll be a liketu post in that community. The other posts in that community not posted with liketu won't be visible in your feeds.
Oh I see understand now
Thank you for the brilliant updates 💗
Long Live @liketu @elmerlin !!
You're welcome, enjoy!
Wonderful, my wife post here in liketu almost everyday and I'm going to post in here too everyday starting today. ❣
Good to know she enjoys it !
Great update to Liketu. I expecially loved the mobile app. It make easier to post. When I discover it I almost stop to use IG and use Liketu like a sort of daily diary.
I like it and love the short form writing.
I hope soon we will se a really Mobile app for phones.
I hope that one day we can have a compelling alternative to Instagram, but at the same time, offer something markedly different with it's own unique culture. We're still discovering what that will shape up to be, and we're always looking at people's feedback to help guide us which way we go. It's great that you use it as a sort of daily diary, because I would contend that blogs started off that way!
This is freaking awesome. Loving the new look. You do are looking smart and awesome in that first photo! And Love that you are already working on that app! I hope more and more people start using the liketu interface and that you guys can keep building up and making this the place to be! :D Congrats and thanks for the updates! It's looking really good :D
Ah sergio, you're doing so well, I hope more people will eventually come to us, especially after we tie up onboarding/referrals and kick our outreach campaigns into gear. They would certainly enjoy perusing your incredible posts!
They better or I will find them and hunt them eheheh joking. I try to keep my photos entertaining. Isn't that the whole point of social media eheheh :D
I will keep telling about liketu to everyone. You know I have been enjoying to be here and using the platform.
Awesome 😍 Liketu to the moon 🚀
More like... hive to the moon!
It’s was really surprised when I’m going on my blog, all the pictures have captions look interesting, about monetization is more options and next to the tag a little bit confused about Communication. All is good development.. Great work 👍🏻👍🏻
hope you can make use of the new features, you have wonderful posts so I think the captions and new gallery will make them look even more lovely.
Yes!!! I really love it. 😍😍
Thank you. 🙏🙏
The new update is looking real good! Definitely makes it easier and better to browse. One thing that could still be improved is the top thing that showcases a few posts based on tags.
In the example above there's 16 spots for posts to be showcased but only 7 of them are unique posts. Also most of the tags aren't really real content tags but rather tribe and token tags. Like neoxian, creativecoin, OCD, proofofbrain etc... Would be cleaner if one post wasn't showcased across more than one tag and maybe remove tribe tags from that panel overall.
I submitted this through "contact us" on www.liketu.com a while ago but not sure if it went through.
hey pusen, I hear you about the categories.
We initially built a user centric category system where on your feed, the categories would change depending on who you follow, what was being posted, what is most related to the root post.
It's causing a lot of issues not just from an aesthetic standpoint, because it kind of only works when your network is sufficiently large, and hinges on people tagging their posts in a more distributed way (and not just what they see at the top)
We are however looking at ways to redo the entire top section, and that is one of the things we'll be looking to really work at this next quarter. In-fact, we'll likely be adding "stories" with some short vids to the top and then for the categories as they are, we'll probably also trip the tribe/token tags out as they are sort of irrelevant here.
I also hope to make each category something of it's own "community", with stats, top posters, relevant bucket image (with no repeats)
Thanks for prodding us on this, definitely something on the top of our list now.
Wonderful update!
I started using Liketu frontend yesterday thanks to @josediccus who told me about the site. I really love the watermark as it makes the picture unique as well as advertising Liketu.
Another thing, I'm having issue uploading pictures, the arrow button refused to show and I couldn't navigate to add more pictures, is it a technical issue or is there limitation to the number of pictures I can upload?
That's wonderful!
We don't actually have limitations on the numbers of pictures, however, it would appear that you are using mobile and we're not actually supporting mobiles right now (we're building a whole dedicated mobile web/app to replace it entirely)
Do you have the same issues on desktop?
No.... I don't have a desktop, I'm using my mobile phone
Hi @elmerlin I had that same issue tonight when I tried to make a new post in liketu website. So I logged in Ecency to rearrange the photo orders and adding more captions. However, the photo orders on liketu does not change even I changed in Ecency. Can you please help checking this problem. Thank you so much!
My recent post:
https://ecency.com/hive-120586/@alexbb9700/how-to-prepare-a-keto-fried-pork-with-special-marinades-net-carb-2-g
on liketu: https://liketu.com/@alexbb9700/how-to-prepare-a-keto-fried-pork-with-special-marinades-net-carb-2-g
Hi @elmerlin , is there any limit of posted photos in a post from liketu.com? I tried to upload about 11 photos of my trip and forward arrow does not work and I could not see all photos I posted as well as re-organizing them. Can you please check? Thanks
There is not a limit though I think there might be some bug with respect to people trying to upload via mobile. As you know, we've been working on a dedicated mobile web/app and we don't actually support mobile use right now.
I always used my laptop to post in Liketu and ecency (13inch screen macos). I tried chrome and brave browser and I only see about 7.5 photos on the main screen. I could not see the rest 🥲
I see, we are looking into this right now. For now I will apologise and just say post what photos you can (if you want to)
last night I tried to post but the error happened, so I cancelled posting last night. Tonight after work I will try to post my photos again with my laptop. All photos was in my laptop at home 🥲
Hello, mine is the same. Desktop computers and mobile phones
I'm encouraged.
Thank You
Awesome work!
Cheers!
I really appreciate your efforts in the blockchain is really awesome and thanks for giving us the opportunity to post on the community.
Glad to see you post with it, if you find it valuable, then I am already happy.
I appreciate it anyday and anytime because it's a lovely place to be
thanks for the update, this is great for the future. this is very useful for all of us,Thanks also to all the leaders who have worked optimally.
You're welcome. Hope you find it to be useful and fun!
Good friend. I'm very interested in the #Liketu community, even though I don't have much power but I really want to be able to join and share my interesting posts here, I hope there is support from friends. Thank you so much @elmerlin
Appreciate all the #build you put in. Btw ... is there a mobile app .... or maybe one comming soon
Thanks dalz, I did show a few screens of the progress that we're making on that front. We're using a framework which is quite portable for native mobile apps, vuejs/vuetify, and we expect we'll have something working within the next quarter or so.
I just posted today and I love the update! Thank you for your hardwork, hopefully more people will use the interface.
love seeing your posts, they're visually interesting and intellectually stimulating too. See you soon!
Thank you for your hard develop to liketu.com and your team. This update is a great and exciting experience for users (writer) like me, and always appreciate the work of you and your team 🙂🙏
My pleasure, it's also wonderful have such a wonderful and consistent contributor, especially one that has been consistent from the beginning. Appreciate you!
Congratulations, these updates are awesome! However, there was a problem when I uploaded photos today. The photos could not be uploaded well. I wonder if it has something to do with this update?
It's quite likely that it is a legacy problem that we have yet to fully address. But, we have made some changes to the edit function which hopefully can help with broken uploads on the initial try.
In any case, we'll look at how to get the reliability of the uploader much higher. It is showing a lot more fragility than we like!
Looking forward to your improvements! Thanks for your efforts!
This is liketu. I seem a lot of posts on liketu. I shall go to liketu.com as it's be my first time. Also you are working on a mobile app, that be useful as I use my mobile more than my laptop !
Yes, we're well aware that a mobile app is going to be key, this is why we've done a heck of a lot of work on that in the past few months in addition to this update today. Hopefully that will get Hive/Liketu into many more new hands.
I have never reply back to a reply that quick. Because I just had a look at your liketu just now. I like it so much, I can read up on something I find interesting. It's refreshing and I like the style of the layouts. I'm glad I just click onto your posts. Thank you !
Great work!
Cheers!
Congratulations on the updates. Personally, I think removing the watermark is a shame as I like the way Liketu creates its own brand identity on the blockchain. The photographers often watermark their own photos and watermarks make it slightly more difficult to steal pictures I'd suggest.
Now all we want is a native Android App please!
I still can't upload anything although, commenting , voting and all other functions work perfectly. This only applies to this account, if I log in on an alt, the upload feature is fine. This applies to different browsers too. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks :-)
Best wishes and thanks again for a brilliant App :-)
PS The only thing I can think is that I'm currently part way through the 30days of changing my recovery account. Could this have any bearing on things?
Nathen sorry about this, I'm investigating this now. It is odd that it works with another account but not this one.
As for the watermarks, we will have an option to let people turn it on. Rather, perhaps should be the other way round and default on, with option off. As always, the suggestion to remove it was just listening to feedback from some keen photographers, and there is a way to please people that want it, and people that don't, so we might just have to get that in asap.
I don't think the recovery function has anything to do with it. Would you mind loading up your console (F12) and sharing what you get when you try to upload?
OK. This is what I see on screen...
And this is the console...
The bottom line about the server response is interesting as if I try to reload the screen, It gives me a server error and tells the server owner to check the logs!
Thanks for checking it out. Don't waste too much of your time fella!
New update feels a lot better than previous one.
Wouldn't be much of an update if it was worse! But yes, we do feel like it improves quite a bit from the first build.
Hope you enjoy it.
Congratulations 👏👏👏👏
thanks chanmaly, it's great to see you here from the beginning!
Congratulations for the new update and thank you for your hard work. sincerely thank you😊🙏
hey newhope1988 thanks so much for being a wonderful contributor. Looking forward to seeing more posts!
Of course.😊😊
I kind of felt like the 0% 50% and 100% monetization system that was there before felt awkward, it didn't feely HIVY, hence many people would originally decline their reward in their first post. This change here feels better as no one would again, make that mistake. Plus, I had to navigate the new UI to see how it was for myself before making this comment and it was stunning.
I think irrespective of our talents, it still takes sweat, hardwork an many more to actually grow. I believe it's the step towards growth.
Yes, it was actually sort of a legacy thing from back when we did the very early MVP mock up on Steem days.
I'm glad you find the changes to be appealing, we're certainly quite happy with them and we've actually got quite a bit more changes to come probably in the next quarter in terms of visual ux updates.
As for talent, I agree with you. Having talent but no thread of hard work will not get you far. Having a long time horizon helps in that respect, because nothing of value was ever achieved and sustained in a short space of time. We are all the products of our efforts (hopefully smart efforts and not blind volumous effort)
Awesome improvements! Thank you for liketu!
thanks lordflu, keep likin'!
congratulations to the great job👍👍
Thanks, hopefully everybody finds it useful!
liketu.com has made great progress, I find it very useful and more convenient now✌️will keep posting on liketu.com😍😍
Congratulations on another milestone achievement. Thank you for creating the Liketu.com community. My heartfelt thanks.
Thanks baibuaza it's been an absolute pleasure seeing you grow on liketu. To 100 years more!
This community requires more work in order to receive more timely updates; however, you are doing an excellent job. Thanks to everyone who are working for the betterment in this community.
@asgharali thanks for starring in my post btw ;)
Well, timely is a matter of perspective and in the grand scheme of things, I think we've come quite far in such a short space of time. All of us here at liketu are beasts when it comes to building the "community" (not Hive Community) - whether it's design, coding, community engagement.
In any case, we're here for the long haul, we're here to build something valuable to people. We will probably have to hire some people to pick up the pace.
@elmerlin
Well, it's fantastic how quickly this community has grown and it will undoubtedly take time to see more updates.
I am available for any assistance you require for the platform's improvement. You can hire me at any time, and I am available to work.
It's Great, good improvement, good job. Thank you.
thank you sir, keep up the good work!
Well, today I just saw what you are doing and it is a pleasurable experience. Even though I haven't been as active lately, I do recognize the passion behind your project.
Thumbs up for that and since we are humans here's to a hundred years to go ;)
oh gosh bulldog-joy, thank you! I have been meaning to drop by your posts more recently, but this update has taken my attention away a bit more than usual. Thankfully, now that it is out, I hope to be back and enjoying everyone's posts again :)
💯
Ahhhh all good lol. You are a busy man ;).
I just noticed that in my recent draft I cannot see the pics in the preview in order. It seems to skip a few pics and won't let me upload more. But I'm off to work now anyways, so I will try to drop the end of the love story later 😄 .
Have a good day!
I wish I had seen this post before I posted my photos, I thought by default I would keep posting on liketu when I read that it said optional.
I will say something and see how many get upset, but I really hope you could select only communities that have to do with photography, to say an example, I would not like to see step by step post of how to make a recipe just because it has photos, instead photos of a good meal with good lighting of the place and with a dedicated style to elevate the photography would be nice, and I feel that allowing all communities maybe would bring activity to liketu.com, but what kind of content?
About the watermark, personally it does not bother me because I felt it was a reciprocal way to create content, I use the app and in return we give advertising together, at no time I felt affected my performance when making a post, rather it was like a badge that I was in an exclusive place for photography.
Everything else looks good to me especially: Mobile Web/App, I think it's a must.
And man, I really laughed with this:
The truth is that I hate being a model and I'd rather be behind the camera haha.
I mean, I never wanted liketu to be strictly about the creative art of photography alone. I wanted liketu to be accessible to people who post pictures as a way to blog. You know, like how instagram and other photo places are. Right now, there are a couple hundred people who post and probably very few actually appeal to your acute tastes, I get that, but the greater picture is that we hope to bring people of all interests (including those not strictly photography) and then it is down to you to follow, and use the tools we have to choose what to see, and what not to see.
Remember, posting to a community doesn't mean all posts from that community appear on liketu.com Only posts made with liketu.com will appear. Posting to a community simply allows people who also contribute photos that perhaps aren't strictly photography to participate in communities that share the same kind of interests.
Good to know, I really like liketu and whatever path you take I will follow it 😉
What I'm really excited about is the mobile app, it would be very cool to have it.
WOW that's a nice site! I didn't even know about Liketu, but will definitely spread the link around to some friends and photographers I know!
@kencode Thanks! Feel free to make posts and participate if you like!
If I don't post photos and such, I am already telling people about the site and sending out the link to various categories on the site like Foodies to my cook friends and Nature for my outdoorsy friends etc. Thanx! 😃
Hi @elmerlin
During the usage experience for the last week, I found the updates of Liketu website is awesome, especially the fluency while we’re editing and publishing the articles. I’m so appreciate for your great efforts❤️
Besides, I also meet some troubles.
I usually edit the posts through iPhone with the browser (Safari or Chrome) and I found I can only update 3 photos. The button where the yellow circle I put doesn’t function well. Though when I edit on iPad or I revolve the iPhone, I can update only 5 pics.
So…I sincerely hope this could be renovated in the next update. Thanks for your efforts again😊

I like the improvements a lot. I have the options to select the community now, the selection for reward no longer confused, uploaded the pictures faster….thanks for creating such nice environment for us to have fun and socialize here.
We're actually working on a full mobile experience and it's coming along quite well so far. I'm surprised that you can use the current site on the iphone (we think it's much better on desktop)
There are quite a few issues outstanding, and even more features in the works, so plenty of things to look forward to.
Excellent work, I love what you have done
I like that the watermark is on my images.
keep up the great work
enjoy the rest of the weekHello dear friend @elmerlin good afternoon
The watermark option will come back, a lot of people have actually expressed that they want it. I think it's good to have the optionality. Keep up the good work!
that's good news.
Thank you very much for appreciating and supporting my work, you are very kind
have a great day
I am using Liketu only since a week and already I saw so many interesting updates/changes which makes the experience even better. So, a big thanks for all that you are doing and I am so happy to have found 'what' I was really wishing for on Hive to be able to be consistently active and also start bringing my families, friends and Mauritians in general here. Thank you Liketu, thank you @elmerlin!
We always felt that this would be something more traditional social media users would be interested in, i've mentioned not only in the post but elsewhere that we are still working on a tonne of great stuff, but it's so good to have people appreciate us this early on, so thank you!
😊😎 I just started posting using liketu and have to say it is very nice. It's pretty easy and things are well laid out. navigation is easy. I like how photos are prioritized and it IS the place to easily post the pics..
I also agree with your attitude for measuring success.. a multi-year approach, not a flash in the pan, super short-term thing..
It's great to have you here chinito, there are always going to be challenges along the way, but we're going to be stronger as a community because we're all in it together.
👊😃🤙
I'm barely posting much recently so haven't hopped onto Liketu for a while. Sounds like lots have been happening behind the scenes. Will definitely check it out soon, but from what I am reading so far, both from yourself and the comments, you go thumbs up all around!!
I hope to see you around more often lut, lots have been happening and even more in this coming quarter, can't wait to share the next big update! Thanks again!
I am loving the update! I especially like the part where I can put captions on the photos - AWESOME!! I'll forever support Liketu - it's Instagram but way, way, waaaaay BETTER! ❤️❤️❤️
Yay! I love to hear such positive feedback like this, thank you so much. We still have a long way to go, but the difference is, we're much less fragile as a community as we all can literally grow together and share in it's success.
you're welcome 😄
I'm glad to be a part of this awesome community you helped build! 😍🤩 It's a long way to go... but we'll be here, supporting and cheering you and the rest who's behind Liketu 😊
😊🙏
I am very pleased with this update.
Glad you enjoyed it, keep up the good work!
Thank you
Hi @elmerlin, the problem is still the same. So I had to post some photos on Liketu then went back on Ecency to add more photos with captions. I hope this problem can be solved soon because I want to post most of my travel photos in Liketu community. Thanks in advance for fixing these bugs!
Is it still the arrow not scrolling your uploaded pictures beyond the viewframe?
Yes, that same problem :(
