Yesterday late afternoon we decided to go see the Christmas lights near our house.

The children love it and so we also take the opportunity to take them on the subway as we first go to Porto to see and then return to Gaia to see the ones here.

In the city of Porto, due to the works being carried out for a new metro line on Av. Aliados only has the Christmas tree of lights. In other years there were more lights and even themed benches for taking photos.

This visit turned out to be a disappointment.

We returned to Gaia again and went to see the Christmas lights next to the city hall.
As in Porto, we noticed that there were less Christmas lights and fewer attractions.
In other years there was a giant ice rink, a ferris wheel, a train that was always available for children to ride, and a carousel.

This year there was only a small, hidden ice rink, the train was stopped and couldn't move and a carousel that when it started moving was scary with the noise it made.

Anyway, in terms of entertainment it wasn't one of the best experiences compared to other years. However, the kids still ended up having fun which is the most important thing.
