Advancing to League 2

It's been 1 day since I discovered Soulkeep and I'm learning the mechanics of the game and in my opinion it's quite fun, but since it's an NFT game, in addition to being fun it also needs to be profitable and in the case of Soulkeep I'll only find out the second part tomorrow when the tournaments are released.

In the short time I've been playing I've discovered 2 towers that are essential to the game, in fact without them I would find it very difficult to get through all the waves and I say this from my own experience because I spent a lot of time unable to get through Gateway Level 5 of League 1, but after putting these 2 towers in battle I only needed 1 attempt to get through.

The towers I'm talking about are Quad Killer and Shock Therapy, you can get them by opening Nightmare packs, buying them on the Splinterlands market or renting them on the Splinterlands market. I chose to rent them and paid less than 1 DEC/Day for each one, so it's quite cheap and I believe anyone can easily rent them for that price.

The Quad Killer is the most powerful of these 2, in fact I think it is the most powerful in all of Soulkeep and it is always my first choice when selecting towers for the waves because just 1 of it is enough to get through the initial waves, and it becomes even more powerful when you upgrade it. But be careful when positioning it because you can only have 1 in the game, so the position will be of great importance to be able to complete all the waves.

Shock Therapy is the second strongest in my opinion and the only reason it loses to Quad Killer is that it has a smaller range and a higher mana cost, but in return you can put up to 3 Shock Therapy towers to combat the waves, so it is also a great choice.

After completing the 5 Gateways in league 1 I can advance to league 2 but I need to meet another requirement which is to have the amount of Souls necessary to advance to the next league.

This is the amount of Souls needed to advance from League 1 to League 2 and these values ​​I have were the ones I obtained by completing all the Gateways in League 1, now there are only 2 ways for me to get Souls, the first is through the tournaments that will be released tomorrow and the second is through Soul Boxes that you can buy for DEC/Credits in the Game Shop.

Since I don't want to wait for the tournaments to advance, in fact since I start in League 2 in the tournaments, I'm going to buy some Souls Boxes and see if I can advance to League 2 today.

I bought 6 Souls Boxes for 900 DEC and after opening them I got the following amount of Souls:

I was lucky enough to get a large amount of Souls and now I have all the requirements to advance to the next league.

Now that I'm in league 2 I'll try to get through all 5 Gateways and buy more Soul Boxes as soon as they're released again, my goal is to get as close to league 3 as possible by tomorrow.
