My Card Collection Optimization:
I Upgraded Zyrx the Emberglace to level 2!
I enjoy playing Splinterlands, but I also enjoy optimizing my card collection by choosing which cards to sell, buy, or upgrade to improve my game results.
In a previous post, I shared my purchase and upgrade goals for cards that can be used in the Modern Format.

Yesterday, December 3, I made significant progress toward my upgrade goals because:
- one of my purchase offers was partially completed
- another of my purchase offers was fully completed
Thanks to the Make Bid feature on Peakmonsters, I purchased:
- 1 BCX of Bren Palesworn
- 2 BCX of Zyrx the Emberglace
For Bren Palesworn, my upgrade goal is level two.
At the first level, Bren Palesworn would not be very useful to me in battle, but I would use this card starting at level 2 because at this level he acquires the Weapons Training ability.
I still need 2 BCX to reach this upgrade goal.
However, I am very happy to have achieved an upgrade goal that I set about a month ago.
Thanks to the purchase of 2 BCX, I was able to upgrade Zyrx the Emberglace to the second level!
I made this upgrade because:
- Zyrx the Emberglace at level 1 is a card I often use in High Mana battles, and upgrading a card I use frequently in battle is almost always a good strategic choice.
- Zyrx the Emberglace at level 2 significantly increases his usefulness in battle because he gains the Charge ability and can use melee attacks from any position.
Before this upgrade, and excluding battles where the battle rules allow cards to attack from any position, I could only use the melee attack points of level 1 Zyrx the Emberglace in the first position or in the second position in combination with a card in the first position with the Flank ability.
Now that my Zyrx the Emberglace has the Charge ability, it can use melee attacks from any position, giving me an extra strategic option, especially in battles where there is a lot of mana available.
I have already used level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace in several battles, such as the one you can see by clicking on the following link.
I chose to place Zyrx the Emberglace in the last position and I also used a card with the Triage ability (Caravan Guard) to heal one of my cards in the second row each round.
When the battle rules include the Global Warning rule, I also try to use cards with many life points and healing abilities (Heal, Tank Heal, Triage, etc.)
Level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace was a very important card in the battle, and in fact, the final attack that allowed me to win the battle was made by Level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace.
If I had used Level 1 Zyrx the Emberglace instead of Level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace, would I have won the battle?
Absolutely not, I would have lost the battle!
I also used level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace in another battle with the rules: Unprotected, Even Stevens, and Up Close and Personal.
My opponent also used Zyrx the Emberglace, but since he had level 1, he placed him in the first position so he could use his melee attack, while I placed level 2 Zyrx the Emberglace in the last position.
As in the previous battle I showed you in this post, Zyrx the Emberglace at level 2 was crucial to winning the battle and delivered the final winning attack.

Ho potenziato Zyrx the Emberglace al livello 2!
Su Splinterlands mi piace giocare ma mi piace anche ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte scegliendo quali carte vendere, acquistare o upgradare per migliorare i miei risultati di gioco.
In un mio precedente post ho condiviso i miei obiettivi di acquisto e di upgrades relativi alle carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format.
Ieri tre dicembre ho fatto degli importanti progressi verso i miei obiettivi di upgrades perchè:
- una mia offerta di acquisto è stata parzialmente completata
- un'altra mia offerta di acquisto è stata totalmente completata
Grazie alla funzionalità Make Bid presente su Peakmonsters ho acquistato:
- 1 BCX di Bren Palesworn
- 2 BCX di Zyrx the Emberglace
Per Bren Palesworn il mio obiettivo di upgrade è il secondo livello.
Al primo livello Bren Palesworn non mi sarebbe molto ultile in battaglia mentre utilizzerei questa carta a partire dal livello 2 perchè a questo livello acquisisce l'abilità Weapons Training
Mi mancano ancora 2 BCX per raggiungere questo obiettivo di upgrade.
Sono invece molto contento di aver raggiunto un obiettivo di upgrade che avevo fissato circa un mese fa.
Grazie all'acquisto di 2 BCX ho potuto fare l'upgrade al secondo livello di Zyrx the Emberglace!
Ho fatto questo upgrade perchè:
- Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 1 è una carta che uso spesso nelle High Mana battles e potenziare una carta che utilizzo di frequente nelle battaglie è quasi sempre una buona scelta strategica.
- Zyrx the Emberglace al livello 2 aumenta in modo considerevole la sua utilità in battaglia perchè aquisisce l'abilità Charge e può usare l'attacco da mischia da qualsiasi posizione.
Prima di questo upgrade ed escludendo le battaglie in cui le regole di battaglia permettono alle carte di attaccare da qualsiasi posizione, potevo utilizzare i punti di attacco da mischia di Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 1 solo in prima posizione oppure in seconda posizione in combinazione con una carta in prima posizione con l'abilità Flank.
Adesso che il mio Zyrx the Emberglace ha l'abilità Charge può utilizzare l'attacco da mischia da ogni posizione e io potrò avere un'opzione strategica in più soprattutto nelle battaglie che hanno tanti mana a disposizione.
Ho già utilizzato Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 in diverse battaglie come la battaglia che puoi vedere cliccando sul prossimo link.
Ho scelto di posizionare Zyrx the Emberglace in ultima posizione e ho utilizzato anche una carta con l'abilità Triage (Caravan Guard) per curare in ogni round una delle mie carte nelle seconde linee.
Quando tra le regole di battaglie c'è la regola Global Warning cerco anche di utilizzare carte con molti punti vita e con le abilità curative (Heal, Tank Heal, Triage, ...)
Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 è stata una carta molto importante nella battaglia e infatti l'attacco finale che mi ha permesso di vincere la battaglia è stato proprio di Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2
Se avessi utilizzato Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 1 al posto di Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 avrei vinto la battaglia?
Assolutamente no, avrei perso la battaglia!
Ho utilizzato Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 anche in un'altra battaglia con le regole: Unprotected, Even Stevens e Up Close e Personal.
Anche il mio avversario ha utilizzato Zyrx the Emberglace ma avendolo di livello 1 l'ha posizionato in prima posizione per poter utilizzare il suo attacco da mischia mentre io ho posizionato Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 in ultima posizione.
Come nella precedente battaglia che ti ho mostrato in questo post anche in questa battaglia Zyrx the Emberglace di livello 2 è stato determinante per vincere la battaglia ed è stato suo l'ultimo attacco vincente.

That charge ability is very powerful for that card. It looks like a solid upgrade
