Moon Karts Alpha: 25 CENTAURI Packs opened + My Road to 100K COLONY Staked!
On September 2024, the playable Alpha version of the game Moonkarts was released.
Moonkarts is a arcade race game Hive-based that in my opinion has potential because it has beautiful graphics and has good playability already in the Alpha version.
At this stage of development only 50% of the Reward System is active because the development team is collecting data and feedbacks from players before fully activating it.
In fact, it is possible to earn COLONY tokens from the activity of playing individual races in the multiplayers mode but it is not possible to earn the rewards linked to leaderboards.
Game rewards in individual races have also been limited to avoid the large accumulation of tokens for active players in the Alpha phase who are very few in number.
In fact the game in my opinion is a lot of fun but finding players is not always easy and in fact before I started writing this post I started a race but I have not found a challenger yet.
There are not many active players right now but there may be many in the future because Moon Karts is fun and because, although it does not have the level of playability of Super Mario Kart, it is very similar to the famous Nintendo game.
At this stage of development my main focus is not on playing because the active rewards are of small value but is on:
- increasing my amount of COLONY staked tokens.
- increasing my amount of SCRIPT staked tokens.
In fact when the reward system will be fully active COLONY staked tokens and SCRIPT staked tokens will be very important within the game dynamics of Moon Karts.
The COLONY staked tokens are important because in combination with the rating they determine the Bonus Multiplier which has a mechanism similar to the SPS tokens on Splinterlands.
The SCRIPT staked tokens are important for the production of FUEL.
The FUEL is an in-game item that is automatically generated as time passes and is obtained by staking unused in-game NFTs in the AutoVault section.
For every 2 SCRIPT staked you can stake 1 NFT** within the AutoVault section.
In order to increase the amount of COLONY tokens and SCRIPT tokens in my possession, I decided to make a partial “switch” between Genesis League Goals and Moon Karts, a strategy I started implementing 7 days ago and shared in my previous post.

In the past 7 days I have not played much on Genesis League Goals because I have had little free time on my hands but I accumulated 181 GLX which I converted to COLONY today using the SWAP feature of the GLX:COLONY pool.
Between the COLONY tokens I had in-game and the COLONY tokens I transferred from Hive Engine to my in-game wallet, I added another 249.28 COLONY to my staked COLONY tokens.
I now have 36446.20 COLONY staked but my goal is to reach an amount of 100K COLONY staked.
During the presale of Moon Karts I purchased 50 CENTAURI Packs but so far I have only opened 25 because I wanted to try the game before opening all my card packs.
Because in my opinion the game has potential I decided to also open the 25 CENTAURI packs that I had not opened before.
So today I went to the My Packs section and opened 25 CENTAURI packs.
In the next images you can see what I found inside the 25 CENTAURI packs I opened today.
In the next few days I will check if the cards I found today will be useful for me to increase my Kart's game stats.
I also need to start testing the marketplace because I want to start doing what I've always done on Splinterlands and that is to sell the cards I don't use in the game to start leveling up the cards I use in the game.
I will end this post with a small focus on the cost of CENTAURI packs.
A SHOP section has been reopened on Moon Karts where you can purchase CENTAURI packs.
To purchase CENTAURI packs, you can choose from three options:
- use of CREDITS in the Shop of Moon Karts.
- use of SCRIPT tokens in the Shop of Moon Karts
- use of SWAP.HIVE tokens to purchase CENTAURI tokens on Hive Engine.
I calculated the dollar cost of 1 CENTAURI pack based on the three payment methods that can be chosen.
The lowest cost per pack is obtained by purchasing 1 CENTAURI pack from the Shop of Moon Karts using SCRIPT tokens as the payment method.

Moon Karts Alpha: 25 CENTAURI Aperti + La Mia Strada verso 100K COLONY Staked!
Il 20 settembre 2024 è stata rilasciata la versione Alpha completamente giocabile del gioco Moonkarts.
Moonkarts è un arcade race game Hive-based che secondo me ha potenziale perchè ha una bella grafica ed ha una buona giocabilità già nella versione Alpha.
In questa fase di sviluppo è attivo solo il 50% del Reward System perchè il team di sviluppo sta raccogliendo dati e feedbacks dai giocatori prima di attivarlo completamente.
Infatti è possibile guadagnare i token COLONY dall'attività di gioco delle singole corse nella modalità multiplayers ma non è possibile guadagnare le ricompense collegate alle leaderboards.
Anche le ricompense di gioco nelle singole corse sono state limitate per evitare il grande accumulo di token per i giocatori attivi nella fase Alpha che sono molto pochi in numero.
Infatti il gioco secondo me è molto divertente ma trovare giocatori non è sempre facile e infatti prima di iniziare a scrivere questo post ho avviato una corsa ma non ho ancora trovato uno sfidante.
Non ci sono molti giocatori attivi in questo momento ma potrebbero essercene molti in futuro perchè Moon Karts è divertente perchè, anche se non ha il livello di giocabilità di Super Mario Kart, è molto simile al famoso gioco della Nintendo.
In questa fase di sviluppo il mio focus principale non è sul giocare perchè le ricompense attive sono di piccolo valore ma è su:
- incrementare il mio quantitativo di token COLONY staked
- incrementare il mio quantitativo di token SCRIPT staked
Infatti quando il reward system sarà completamente attivo i token COLONY staked e i token SCRIPT staked saranno molto importanti all'interno delle dinamiche di gioco di Moon Karts.
I token COLONY staked sono importanti perchè in combinazione con il rating determinano il Bonus Multiplier che ha un meccanismo simile ai token SPS su Splinterlands.
I token SCRIPT staked sono importanti per la produzione di FUEL.

Per aumentare il quantitativo di token COLONY e di token SCRIPT in mio possesso ho deciso di fare uno "switch" parziale tra Genesis League Goals e Moon Karts, strategia che ho iniziato ad attuare 7 giorni fa e che ho condiviso nel mio precedente post.

Negli ultimi 7 giorni non ho giocato molto su Genesis League Goals perchè ho avuto poco tempo libero a disposizione ma ho comunque accumulato 181 GLX che oggi ho convertito in COLONY utilizzando la funzionalità SWAP della pool GLX:COLONY.

Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere cosa ho trovato all'interno dei 25 CENTAURI packs che ho aperto oggi.
Nei prossimi giorni verificherò se le carte che ho trovato oggi potranno essermi utili per aumentare le statistiche di gioco del mio Kart.
Devo anche iniziare a testare il mercato perchè voglio iniziare a fare quello che ho sempre fatto su Splinterlands e cioè vendere le carte che non uso in gioco per iniziare ad aumentare il livello delle carte che utilizzo nel gioco.
Concludo questo post con un piccolo focus sul costo dei CENTAURI packs.
Su Moon Karts è stata riaperta la sezione SHOP dove è possibile acquistare i CENTAURI Packs.
Per acquistare i CENTAURI packs è possibile scegliere tra tre possibilità:
- utilizzo dei CREDITS nello Shop di Moon Karts
- utilizzo dei token SCRIPT nello Shop di Moon Karts
- utilizzo dei token SWAP.HIVE per acquistare i CENTAURI token su Hive Engine.
Ho calcolato il costo in dollari di 1 CENTAURI pack in base ai tre metodi di pagamento sceglibili.
Il costo per pacco più basso si ottiene acquistando 1 CENTAURI pack dallo Shop di Moon Karts utilizzando i token SCRIPT come metodo di pagamento.

Attracting players is not easy, unless they find ways to actively incentivize players, maybe more player can play.
You are absolutely right, I think if the right choices are made this game could attract many players because like Splinterlands at the base there is a fun game ;)

It's interesting to see the development of the game is good. At least you are getting rewards even if it is limited. I do think that it makes sense because the game is still in alpha.
