RE: Studio Portraiture of Rina - 5 Photos

having a low light option when the 24-70 f/2.8 doesn't cut it would be very nice.

yeah the 24-70 2.8 is good but for low light it still struggle compared to 1.8 and below. I tried it before (during workshop) using the 50mm 1.2 and the 85mm 1.4 for a low light shoot. I can go as low as 1/10s 100 iso and still have very sharp image. the only difference between this two was the 50mm is much more easier to use and have better range in smaller area.

I would imagine the 50mm to be much lighter, too, and have a shorter minimum focus distance than the 85. :D

Trade offs everywhere. Why can't there just be a super lens that is 1.2 24-200? :D It would be so expensive, so heavy, and so impractical, but it would be amazing!

HAHAHA this can be a lens that rule them all. 🤣🤣🤣 the Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8 is not bad I think. But still not wide enough though 😅

That could work for most wedding work. I don't think it is available on Nikon Z mount. I also really shouldn't buy more lenses at this point. :D

Yes. I think for wedding it will be a good lens.

🤣🤣🤣 I feel you my friend.
