No matter how less obvious you try to be, and not to attract too much attention, you might run into someone who is not exactly thrilled to be "caught in a frame". Wherever you go, to whatever culture you are exposed to, people might not understand the intention or things you have in mind while pointing your camera in their direction.
Nowadays, it is quite understandable, given that we are aware of the kind of world we live in. Most of us think with the assumption that their identity might be used for various immoral purposes.
Recently, I had a discussion with an older gentleman who claims that he has the right to privacy in public and that what I am doing is harassment. I showed him photos and unsuccessfully tried to explain why I was doing it and what my intentions were.
All of these photos were taken in the Netherlands, where so far, people have had no reaction to my presence with a camera. :)
