I suppose since I did a monomad entry last week, I'll do another one. This time it's digital photos.
Although I've been on a film kick, I don't think it's betrayal to post digital. After all, it's what I honed my skills on. Well, I'm still honing. These are actually a perfect example.
Normally I use the stock 55-80 mm lens on my Nikon D5500 but I've been looking for an excuse to play with my nifty fifty. Market day at Nakama Anime Bar seemed like the perfect time. It also let me play with the "film" color management settings.
Nifty fifties (50 mm) lenses do seem to be perfect for my style of "street" photography. The massive aperture is just what I need for dark bar rooms. And the boque (boka? Bokka?)....
But also good for sharp pics like this:
Perhaps I'll have to keep playing with the nifty fifty, even if my cropped frame makes it closer to a 75mm.
Of course, I'll use any excuse to get some sake...
