Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

The first two Fridays of every month, we're called for a reading of poetry at the museum house of the poet José Antonio Ramos Sucre. These have the name Bajo el Cielo de Esmalte (Under Enamel Skies, this is an homage to the works of the poet).

So far three members of the group have had the chance of sharing their works with us. First one was a Hiver, @isauris. Her poetry is carried by the rhythm and an interesting use of the traditional forms mixed in with modern themes.

Then, we had Marco Tulio, who we have dubbed The Rooster of the group. His works show the pursuit of the best form for each idea. As he has told us many times, he likes to make a lot of corrections to his poems. That's a general good thing as works need to evolve as we do ourselves.

Last but not least, Yonny Galindo. The member we have named The Beast. His nickname comes from the fact that he writes a lot. His poetry is carried by epistemology. In it, there's a quest to understand things through contemplation. This leads to ponder about the subject matter and try to understand reality in other ways.

I was was supposed to read this month as well, but the tragedies that happened due heavy rain in nearby towns had us stop for the first week of July. So, I'm due August. For now, it's always a pleasure to listen to my poet friends and their works.

¡Bueno día, amantes de las fotografías en blanco y negro!

Los dos primeros viernes de cada mes, hay una cita en la casa museo del poeta José Antonio Ramos Sucre para una serie de lecturas de poesía denominada Bajo el Cielo de Esmalte (este nombre es un homenaje a la obra del poeta.

Hasta ahora tres miembros del grupo literario han tenido la oportunidad de mostrar su trabajo al público. La primera fue la Hiver, @isauris. Su poesía se mueve a la cadencia de las formas tradicionales. Este ritmo va cargado con temas modernos.

Luego, tenemos a Marco Tulio, a quién llamamos "El Gallo". Sus poemas muestran una preocupación por la forma más adecuada para idea. Como nos ha dicho varias veces, las correcciones a sus trabajos son algo muy importante. Esta es una práctica muy útil porque los textos evolucionan al mismo ritmo que nosotros mismos.

Por último, Yonny Galindo, mejor conocido como La Bestia. Este sobrenombre se lo pusieron porque escribe mucho. Su poesía es una forma artística de espistemología. En ella, hay una búsqueda por etender las cosas desde la contemplación. Esto lleva a una reflección sobre las ideas, imágenes y objetos presentados y una forma diferente de entenderlos.

Se supone que yo leería también este mes, pero las lluvias y la tragedias ocurridas por estas nos hicieron detenernos por una semana. Así que me tocará en agosto. Por ahora, siempre es un gusto escuchar la poesía de mis amigos.
