The upcoming "Bunny Hash Cherry Breaker" has been officially made co-ed

Or you could say "mixed" as we call it in Hashing terms. Normally, Bunny Hash events are meant to be women only but the registration wasn't going as strong as they would have hoped so the all-woman management of the Chiang Mai Bunny Hash have decided to officially open the registration up for men and women. Hell, even children are allowed to go if they think they can handle 25 km in the jungle!

One thing to definitely expect as a man if you do decide to come to this event is that especially at the circle, you are going to be picked on but this isn't such a bad thing since it is all meant in good fun and it only results in you getting more free beer, which generally speaking men are better at consuming than women are anyway.

As indicated before this is taking place on Sunday the 24th of November and you can register or make inquiries at any time by visiting either the facebook page or by going direct to our official page. The registration fee is 1000 Baht (around 30 USD) and it includes all transport, many meals, and of course plenty of beer. It's a really good deal and you also get a commemorative T-shirt that will include your name - Hashname or regular name if you don't have a Hashname - so when I look at this I can't help but think that we are losing money on this event.

If you are concerned about 25km being too long don't worry. It is traditional at these events that we set a Rambo run which is the most difficult one that must be completed for top prizes, a Wimp run - which is around the same distance but on easier and easily walked terrain, and also a Short run - which as the name suggests is dramatically shorter than the 25 km the others will do.

It is a great time even if you are not in running shape because if you look at most of our members you would probably make the correct assumption that most of us are not in tip-top shape either. Hell, even the famous "TipToe" is rumored to be an attendee and are you going to be outdone by a guy that walks with a cane?

As has always been the case in the past you can expect, as a man, to be forced to put on some rather humbling attire such as skirts and bunny ears. It is not required that you wear this on trail because that would just result in us losing a bunch of skirts and bunny ears.

It's a lot of fun so if you are going to be in Chiang Mai anyway during this time of year I promise you will have a great time and it is also the cooler time of year, especially up in the mountains of northern Thailand. Come one come all!
