Crop season has started!

Hello everyone. I think it's a pretty good week for gardeners. On the northern side of the globe, we see very sunny days, which means it's time for garden plants to thrive.

Merhaba herkese.

I continue to exhibit the condition of our small hobby garden in front of our office building. There was a nine-day religious holiday in Turkey last week, so we had to stay away from the hobby garden. Unfortunately, no maintenance was done in the garden during this time period. In addition, irrigation did not take place, but the rains at the beginning of the nine-day holiday ensured the natural irrigation of the garden. After that, the weather started to get sunny and hot.

When we returned from vacation on Monday, we saw that the fruits of the plants were multiplying and some of them could be picked. Let me start with the cucumbers right here. The cucumber plants contained more crops than we expected, and about 2 kg of cucumbers were harvested. In addition, the number of flowers on the cucumber plants had increased so much that it was a sign that we would collect plenty of products in the coming days.

The number of fruits in tomato plants increased significantly. Since the weather is not sunny enough, we have not come across a fried tomato, but I think it's a little while before the tomatoes turn red. There's also plenty of bloom on tomato plants, which is gratifying. Of course, I should also say this. The fact that the rains stopped towards the end of the holidays caused the tomatoes to become somewhat dehydrated and the soil to dry out. We made up for it as soon as we got back from vacation and groped them all with water.

Let's get to the peppers. Undoubtedly, one of the most pleasing developments of this week was the development in peppers. We did not expect much yield from the peppers because the soil was not very suitable. However, we have seen that pepper plants also produce vegetables thanks to good care and irrigation. We were able to collect some of these as well.

Gelelim biberlere.

The zucchini and eggplant plants remained. The amount of flowers and leaves of both is pleasing, but they have not yet yielded. We follow closely and we think we can collect a good amount of products from them in the near future.

I can say that the soil out there seems to be healthy. The plants are growing and I can see fruits too! I cannot wait for the harvesting season. 🥳

You're right! Growing is exciting @charmingcherry

very nice, We need to grow the longer variety here too as we get a pest called fruit fly. the big bell peppers that are sweet get "stung" by the fruit fly and are not able to be eaten. they don't like the pointy ones.

This season we will grow the long sweet peppers. see how we go.

Blingit

Pointed and long peppers will be the right choice in a fly environment. I wish you success in your gardening @blingit
