Gardening Season 2021 Wrap Up, Part 2 - Photos of selected fruits and veggies over the months

Our small apple tree with the one and only apple we had this season, same as last year. This apple was something I would see every time I was on my way to the garden so I payed attention to the progress a lot, pretty much every day. I have even more photos, but here are some I selected to share today.

Here are some blackberries going from the flower stage to the ripe and ready to eat stage.

I got so used to our big raspberry bushes, I totally forgot how small they were at the beginning of the season. They spread out like crazy, we bought only four and this year we ended up with twelve. Next year there might be even more!

Other than strawberries planted directly in the soil and covered with plastic, this year I did a little experiment with potted strawberries and even though there were not that many of them, I would still consider it a success. So even if you live in an apartment and have a small balcony/window seal, you can still grow some strawberries and other fruits, veggies and herbs, of course.

Some of my favorite 'before, after and in between' photos from this season are these ones. It was finally a good season for grapes and I hope next one will be the same (or even better).

Quince tree flowers are so pretty, probably the most beautiful we have on our property! Another set of photos I really enjoyed taking and sharing.

Tomatoes take a big portion of our garden as we use them fresh, for salads throughout the entire season but we also make tomato juice that could last us from one season to another.

Cabbage is something we still have in the garden but next week my parents will do a final harvest and then there will be some cleaning up needed.

Probably the biggest difference in height we have in the garden! It's been a really long time since we planted corn, so this year we just planted some along the edge of our garden towards our neighbor's garden.

One of the first things we plant are onions, garlic and potatoes. It was a very successful season for all those veggies and these are probably the most used on our menu so it's really nice when we have a big harvest that can last us a while.

Peppers and cucumbers were pre-planted in our greenhouse before moved to the garden. Pre-planting really helps, we have been doing it for a couple of years now, I think, and we will most likely do it next gardening season as well.

Here we have another obvious difference in photos, starting from young plantings to big produce.

Our baby rosemary grew so big! We got it in a pot at the market and it has been doing so well in the garden!

What started as regular tomatoes turned out to be unstoppable, never ending tomatoes that went through the roof on the greenhouse. The greenhouse itself got really damaged from the sun and wind over the years but it served us really well. Now it's gone and we won't have another one for now. For pre-planted veggies, we have another options that would serve the same purpose.
