__________________________________Hello Hivers__________________________________

It has been exactly 2 months since the day that me and my bf planted our summer garden and things has changed a lot from then. This was our first attemp to grow this kind of summer veggies and I can say that I am so proud of the result after all that time! But let me start from the beggining..About two months we planted on our garden tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini and arugula. You can see my previous post about the planting here : https://peakd.com/hive-140635/@illusivelf/garden-filled-with-summer-veggies-waiting-for-the-crop

MONTHLY GROWTH UPDATE

So I am gonna start the growth update by telling you about the first month of the garden.

As you can see at the first month all the plants had already grown a lot and actually sooner than we thought. My mother who has her own garden for years now and is more experienced gave me some tips on the right time in order to take care of mine too. She told me to grap some reeds and transform them into a support for my plants in order to help the grow bigger and stronger.

I created something like a grid with the reeds where I tied the cucumber plants in order to support them and carry all the weight as they are growing. It is really important for the crops to not lay down on the ground cause they propably gonna rot.

For the tomatoes and cherry tomatoes we used a different technique to support them. We nailed the reeds vertically on the ground between every plant and then tied them up from both sides to keep the plant standing and grow that way. Of course after this for the next weeks the plants were keep growing and growing too fast that needed extra tying from higher spots. This is necessary cause as they are growing and giving crops the weight can break the plant if it is not tied up right.

So it is about time to show you the growth update during the second month which is really amazing! Actually our garden has unexpectedly become a little jungle.😅

The zucchini plant has become huge and super strong, we harvest almost every two days crops and they are just so delicious! Same with the cucumber plant, the last two weeks we enjoy our super tasty cucumbers everyday.

As for the tomatoes and the cherry tomatoes the plants has become so high and dense that we had to cut many branches from them. The truth is that we weren't so prepared about how big those plants would grow and the space wasn't enough for them. The good side of this is that we planted the branches we cut at another spot which is more shady and ideal to grow veggies in hot summer months.

Look at those beautiful crops! This strong authentic smell of veggies, the texture, the colors and of course this amazing taste. This satisfaction you gain when the result comes is so unique.

Wow! Sharing is a blessing too. Your garden will have a more bountiful harvest as you shared them to others.

Totally agree with you 😊

Omg! How beautiful!!!!!! Great job, I want to see it in the future🌻

Well I hope everything goes well in the next months cause I am not sure if those plants can stand the sun and the high temperatures that are coming. That's why we planted some of their branches at a more shady spot in order to survive during summer months!🙏Thank you @virginianavas1 for your kind words😀
