Still planting even if summer

Hello to all beautiful hivers and gardeners.

Before I share my activity in the garden, I just want to congratulate all the winners for the wonderful, very challenging, and very motivating contest to all the gardeners here at the hive initiated by @riverflows. Congratulations everyone. 👏👏👏

And four days ago I moved my tomato, eggplant, and pepper to the ground. Even though there's a fear in my heart that it might not survive because it's already summer here. And the weather is very hot and even then I continue to plant. I told myself that I would take double care of it and constantly monitor it.

Before moving my vegetables to the ground I saw a rotten coconut tree and thought it would add fertilizer and be good for the plant. And I immediately took it and put it in every hole in the soil to be planted.

And I planted vegetables in every hole and exactly my mom plucked a banana because the fruit is ripe already I used the banana trunk and cut each length is 1 ruler to make it a shelter for the plants to somehow be protected in the very hot weather. We started covering it with banana trunks at 10 a.m and take off it from 4:30 to 5 p.m. And it's funny because even in this way it also helps new plants that are not too exposed to the sun and are prevented from wilting. And after 3 days of sheltering, they can adjust to the heat of the weather.

And this morning while I was checking my garden I was happy because the plants were also resistant so I was able to add sawdust. And one of the things I was happy about this morning was that my daughter and niece helped me. And they asked me how much sawdust to put in per plant. So I looked at them during the first application of sawdust to tell them that the amount they put in was correct for the next time they already knew the estimate.

And I checked other vegetables. And for my chayote I put wood as a pole because it is crawling already. This one is very healthy and its leaves are already big. The orange color in the leaves is sawdust.

And I noticed that my other chayote is affected by the heat of the weather. We can see that the leaf is turning yellow and withered a little so I am stressed about it and I am looking for a cure for it.

Are there any suggestions from you guys on how I cure my other chayote? Tell me and I appreciate it so much.

And my string beans are healthy and not too affected by the heat of the weather. The leaf became fat and greener and began to flourish.

As for my spring onions, it is still in the black pot and it is a survivor in the heat of the weather.

And my newly planted lemon grass is slowly putting out new leaves and not beating the heat of the weather.

And I have two ampalaya that suddenly grew and I took care of them because nature gave them to me. I put wood as a pole because it started to creep.

And I still have seedlings left so I told my neighbors if they want to plant, I will give them for free so they can have their gardens.

That's all about my garden activities today. I hope you guys like and enjoy my little idea.

Thank you so many friends until next time.

Bye 🤗

That is a very creative way to shelter newly-planted seedlings!😍 And they did the job of protecting them from the sun's heat. That is quite amazing! It's great that most of your plants are doing well. May need to water the chayote and the lemon grass more often :)

I'm sharing this on LeoThreadsThreads for the #greentuesday tag and I'm inviting you there too😉 I'm pretty sure @riverflows will love to see more #hivegardeners sharing their thoughts on

Thank you for the nice compliment on how to shelter my new plants. It's really hot here right now the new plants need protection.

And thank you so much for the suggestion about my problem with my chayote and my lemon grass as well.

Have a nice day @ifarmgirl 🥰🥰

we hope you join us on Threads! it's a super fun way to engage with other Hivers and pretty much any content is acceptable.

I have no idea how to join threads.

I like that little trick of using banana stem to give shade to your plants. I generally use bits of shade net to protect my plants from the summer heat. Hope you get a great harvest.

I have no net to use as shade for plants that's why I used banana trunks just to protect my plants.

Thank you for your nice compliment and for dropping by @sofs-su .☺☺☺

I think this is a great,
natural option which could also double up as fertilizer as it dries and becomes compost. Have a great day.

Beautiful and inspiring work.
for healing your Chayote you could try to use a Lakhovsky coil as seen in this post here:

they are very easy to make. you should place the opening toward the North.
good luck and thank you for this nice post 🙏 https://hive.blog/hive-198415/@bigorna1/connecting-to-source

Thank you for your nice compliment and effort in giving me a solution to my Chayote's problem. I appreciate it. 😊😊😊

You are very welcome. I hope it helps 🌱

I hope so ☺

Wow! You have a lot of plants in your garden and they are surviving even in the very hot weather.

Just water your plants morning and afternoon to help them with the very hot weather.

Thanks, @jenthoughts for your suggestion. I appreciate it.

And thank you for stopping by.☺☺

That's some clever reuse of natural materials!

I really like your banana sunshades! And sorry about your chayote, but the other one seems to be doing fine. And you have so many things growing! Your garden looks amazing.

Yes, I have a lot of plants growing in my garden but not easy to take care of as of now because of the hot weather but still trying my best.

Thank you for visiting me. Have a nice day to you my dear friend.☺☺☺☺

Well, you gotta give each plant what they need, whether it's shade or enough water. But I'm sure you're doing well. You seem to have a feel for their needs!
