I use a Vtuber software called VNyan. Pretty simple to use, just requires having a correctly rigged and setup 3D model of a character, It's got built in face tracking via webcam and I also have a leap motion controller to track my hands.
Mine was a model I purchased and then modified to look the way it does now.
