Hey Fellow Gamers.
As I shared in my last post, I finally reached the "Light of The Alfheim". This was our goal even from the beginning. But, it's not going to be easy even after we got there. I'll share why I'm saying that in my post below.
Now that I finally reached here, I need to capture the light of the Alfheim in the Byfrost. But, the monsters made this place their living place and it was like a "bee-hive" type place only filled with those monsters. And there were some of those power source things that were blocking the light too.
There were two of those energy suckers there. I destroyed the first one without any resistance from the enemies. But, it was still tough to destroy, it was stronger and harder built than the other ones. I guess as it was positioned in the centre point of the power, it was one of the essential parts of this gigantic creature.
As I explained before, these things block the light and consume the light power themselves, after destroying it the main light source got a power boost and the light of Alfheim became brighter. There were two strong enemies guarding the light, they realised that I destroyed that power blocker and came after me.
First, there was only one and he was tough hell and took a lot of effort to kill. But, as soon as I killed him, more guard enemies appeared and started attacking him. I was tough but I killed them with my Leviathan Axe. But, it was so tough to keep up with them that I had to use my shockwave ability and later I realized that was a bad decision.
Because of using that ability, I mistakenly woke up a portion of the horde. But, only a portion was more than enough, as there were thousands of them. Literally, hundreds of enemies attacked me at once. I used all my special abilities and took down as many enemies as possible. And at the end, I even had to use my "Spartan Rage" mode to kill them. This ability is my top level one but I still couldn't kill all of them, But, I was able to reduce their number a lot and I was able to kill the rest with my axe.
Here you can see how the situation was. See how I was getting attacked from every single point. You can barely see my avatar.
used a special ability to take them all out at once.
Finally, after killing them all, I could destroy that final energy blocker that allowed the Light of Alfheim to shine to its fullest.
As soon as I destroyed that power collector, every part of that parasitic monster started falling. And as we were standing on a part of it. We also fell.
Finally, we got to the light of Alfheim.
Kratos was ready to push the Byfrost into the light. But, they were aware of what may happen once he did that. He gave his axe to Atreus and told him to hang on to it. Atreus couldn't believe it as it was a huge responsibility for him.
As Kratos tried to push the Byfrost into the light, he got repealed back by the power and seemed it hurt his hand too.
So he tried again and harder this time. He was able to put it inside but right after he pushed it inside he got pulled in automatically.
Flashback
As soon as he entered the Light, he was walking through a flashback of what he did in the past. After a certain point, a mystery bag appeared with a glowing light. And he was hearing his dead wife singing and the voice was coming from the light too.
I was going through some random places, first I was running in the Jungle in Midgard. I realized I was seeing the places memorable to me and Atreus.
After running for a while, I reached in front of our old house which we left right at the beginning of the game after Baldur attacked us.
But, as I opened the door, I was on a huge ship in the middle of the sea instead of the house. But, the thing is, I don't remember being on this ship ever.
After that, something happened and I reached the Lake of Nine and Thor's gigantic statue was in front of me. However, the viewing position and scenario were different.
There was a cave. I ran into it and later climbed up. And as soon as I did, I appeared in a new place.
It was the moment when Atreus was preparing his mother's dead body for cremation. I was hearing his thoughts from his head. He was complaining about me and saying I should be the one dead instead of his mother.
Then I appeared on the bridge from where Atreus fell and I fell too while trying to save him. The light finally stopped there and was calling me. But, just at the moment I was close to it, I got pulled out of the flashback by Atreus.
Kratos was angry because Atreus pulled him out just at the moment he was about to meet his dead wife after a long long time. Atreus told Kartos was gone for a long time but it was less than 2 minutes for Kratos and as he was telling this to Atreus. He was shocked seeing what happened there.
There were stacks of dead enemies probably more than a hundred dead enemies. I can't believe Atreus killed all of them by himself. Atreus started shouting at me saying I was gone for a long long time. I was so long that he got attacked multiple times waiting for me and had to fight all those enemies.
Now it was time for us to leave the place. But for that, we needed to build some bridges to cross over. I used the Byfrost as told by Freya and powered up Atreus's Axe so that we could build light bridges to cross.
To build a bridge we need to connect two magical stones by shooting at one of them. But, not every place had a stone. But, some stones could be carried around and you could carry them and put them in empty places to build the bridges you needed.
This is what the bridges look like.
How I escaped from the place I'll share it in my next post.
I hope you liked my shots and the post. Follow my profile for more and thank you for your precious time.
This game is a gem, thank you for sharing it.
