River Raid is the name of a video game designed and programmed in 1982 by Carol Shaw and published by Activision to be played on Atari Inc. consoles and personal computers, such as the Atari 2600 console.

Its theme is military aviation and it is one of the first vertical scroll shoot 'em up, it was also the first game to be censored in Germany.

I'm a fan of those old games because they entertain and relax me without a lot of stress. I still have many of them in rom and from time to time I play them with emulators.

Few will understand the nostalgia of watching these games, the emotion was very different when playing those games.

The excitement at that time was indescribable, with basic resources wonderful things could be done.
