Personally i enjoy cutscenes as i love storytelling. For example I love the cutscenes in the Metal Gear Solid games (sometimes i just head over to youtube and watch the entire "game movie" which are cutscenes compiled throughout the game and turned into a movie). Those most seamless cutscenes i have ever seen were in the Half Life games though, where the cutscenes with merge/transition with actual gameplay....GROUNDBREAKING work that was.
