Can I Win Lifting Competition? TFT Set 16

in Hive Gaming23 days ago

You may all be wondering what the thing in the title has to do with this game. Is there a weightlifting competition in TFT? An augment related to this has been added to the game in the new set, and today I'm going to try out this augment and show it to you.

You can watch the gameplay here:

Draven visited us and said he would earn us gold for every player eliminated in this universe. I'd better not get eliminated early :P

I was actually thinking of playing an Ixtal composition, but seeing this augment changed my mind. The Weightlifting Competition augment grants a reward at the start of each round if Bruiser champions have enough health. This threshold keeps increasing, and so do the rewards!

I spent the entire early game losing, but the final fight was so close it was scary. Of course, winning isn't bad, but I need to keep my economy in check with this losing streak because I need to get as many champions as possible to 3 stars in this composition. My goal is for my Bruiser champions to distract my opponent while Bard and my other carries finish them off.

Actually, I need every kind of augment that boosts my health in this composition, but unfortunately, I wasn't that lucky. I chose Last Chance as my second augment. The reason is that my bruiser champions have very high health, and the percentage health regeneration will benefit them greatly.

Keeping your mental game strong while playing TFT isn't always easy. For example, in this game, I spent a lot of gold but couldn't find the champions I wanted. I won through mid-game, but it could have been so much more.

For the final augment, I had two good options: Spirit Link or Ascension. I chose Ascension because I believe my bruiser champions can tank for a long time. After 15 seconds, I can win fights with a significant damage increase.

Some losses are painful. Look at the enemy Draven's health... He only had 22 health left. What a stroke of bad luck!

And some compositions are really hard to figure out. I tried playing this Warwick composition too, but I died before I could get Warwick to 2 stars. I wonder what my opponents are doing better than me... Maybe I'm just not lucky enough in this set.

Also, the matchmaking system is very strange. I played with the Warwick composition twice in a row. If Bard and Sion hadn't reached 3 stars, I probably would have lost this one too. Playing against a very strong opponent twice in a row is very frustrating.

I made it into the top 4 players and I can beat this Yordle composition too. That's awesome because I thought I couldn't beat it lol. I probably couldn't have won without Volibear. He's my second carry right now. Even if his items aren't great, he deals a ton of damage.

I eliminated the Warwick player! It was one of the best feelings in the world, haha!

What the actual fuck!? What did my opponent do? He got three 4-gold champions to 3 stars, and he did it without the Pandora's Bench augment. How is that even possible?

Luckily, I played against a Yordle composition one more time and beat it. That way, I at least guaranteed myself a spot in the top 2.

Before the final fight, I also made Wukong 3-star, but unfortunately, it didn't help at all. Actually, if we had both only made one 4-cost 3-star, I would have had a chance, and I probably would have won, but losing like this is very disappointing. On top of that, I didn't get the final reward for the augment I chose first. Illaoi just wouldn't reach 3 stars. It probably wouldn't have been enough anyway. I needed an augment that increased my champions' health.

Thanks for reading. There's nothing to say about items in this game. I gave all my champions items that increase HP. I also mentioned Bard's best items in my previous post. See you in the next game post!

Excellent game analysis! I loved how you centered the entire game around the "Weightlifting Competition" augment. It's very difficult to play losing streaks when you're relying on that raise.

You've analyzed it very accurately. I built my entire game around this augment, and I think I succeeded. If my opponent didn't have so many extra things, I would have won.

Haha that looks like a lot of fun! I am more for the action than the card games but remember magic the gathering and a couple online ones that were fun for a bit. All about the tactics and grinding up those stats to come out 20 hp on the right side of the battle.

Fun!

I really love this game. It's a shame it doesn't have many fans on Hive, but at least some people like it. Thanks a lot for stopping by, man.

Friend, it seems to me that the video is private, is that correct or is it my mistake?

Oh let me fix that. It’s because of new yo
