Why Was The Bridge Part SOOO HARD!? | Give Me God Of War

After such a long time I finally get to show you guys the shit load of suffering I had to sustain from this one single episode.

Most of you guys may know that I started to play this game in its highest difficulty, I didn't play this one prior to starting it in the highest difficulty and without much game knowledge.
Now, I'm not complaining that I was getting nowhere but the amount of sorrow I kept getting was equal to a topper/nerd missing that 1 mark somewhere in their test paper.

Below is the summary of a stream that ended painfully for me🥲. Major events and contents that should not be missed!

Game Moments

Starting from the beginning, we explored the cavernous region and found some hidden chests.

We made our way to the top of the cliff and set our sights on a new path.

Atreus finds that the protection that surrounded the place was broken, some trees were cut and the shield came undone, Kratos did cut them because she wanted those trees to be used as the pyre, for her cremation. This showed that his mother wanted to start Ragnarok as soon as she died. As soon as the protection came undone, Odin sends a stranger towards them and their journey to the top of the mountain begins.

Moving onto the main event. They find themselves on a frozen lake. This place had Draugrs, dormant, awaiting stimulus. Little did I know that this place was an ambush site.
I was stuck here for 22 minutes straight. If you guys look at my second attempt I was pretty close to completing this lake part. I little mishap and I had to go over this again and again until I finally got it right.

Kratos and Atreus finds the language of the Mid-guardian, taught by his mother he read what was inscribed.

Once I got out of the lake, we walked into a forest. Kratos advises Atreus to use his arrows more efficiently, "Speed costs accuracy so use more time if you need, accuracy over speed."

And that is when we get to the main dish of today's post. The wooden bridge. This is the worst place that I was stuck in for quite some time. Atreus, like any other kid, wanted to prove that he knew stuff and wanted to help, but in doing so, he broke through the wooden bridge. Kids 🤦.

Kratos asks him to stay calm and was nearing him slowly. He grabbed the boy but they fell to the ground.

Atreus turned around and saw an ocean of Draugr, he thought that all of them were dead as they weren't moving. He proceeds to near a Draugr and finds that it wasn't dead, Kratos reminded him again, "Accuracy over speed".

The battle was on.

Unbeknownst to me, there was a second stage too. This was where the secondary Draugrs came from the broken tower near the cliff. Here, I was such for a good amount of time.

After the grueling battle

It took about an hour and 11 minutes to completely finish this bridge part.

The video hasn't ended yet. For the next hour of the gameplay, I progressed only a bit in the story mode. How? I was stuck in another location.

Moving back to the story. Atreus fought a Raven for the first time, she was located just outside the tower, shrouded in yellow toxic gas. The gas didn't affect Kratos or Atreus but it did cloud the vision.

I found a chest nearby and sorted some of the skills crafting.

• From close combat, I got the Executioner's Cleaver. This skill would allow me to charge up the heavy attack and slash through an enemy, skin and all, and leave a mark that would be visible for others to see. It would reduce the health of the enemies by more than half.
• I bought the Fury Drive, which would allow me to efficiently use the Rage attacks to cause more damage through shockwaves.
• I bought the Shield Break, which would allow me to break the shield/defense of an opponent using my shield.

We climb a cliff and found the place where we would have to go.

Beside this steel iron bar, there was a small cavern. This place was guarded by a few missile-equipped Draugr and died a few times🙃. I found a Nornir chest nearby but I trodded past it, prioritizing the main task at hand.

Amid the fight, I took a little breather and responded to a few comments(it was in a live stream).
My friend accused me of cheesing the enemies, of which I am not unashamed.

Atreus finds an ancient language that his mother had taught him before.

Then we find this depiction of a battle. Odin, Thor, and the world Serpent were present, the other warrior was made of stone and he was huge, told by Atreus.

Later, on the way back I opened the chest guarded by runic magic and got one of the Idunn Apple. The runes were nearby and were easy to destroy.

This was when I realised that I had skipped 2 Nornir chests from the place near Kratos’s home.

Moving past this past, I headed down a notch to where the bridge was. Here, I unhooked the bridge and this was where the main story continues.

I find myself in a small yard that had 3 different enemy types: an ice Draugr, a heavy Draugr, and a Revenant. Needless to say that I was exhausted from playing for over 2 and a quarter past half an hour and kept on dying at the same spot I decided to end it without a proper goodbye.

Honestly, this last part was a headache that was contributing to my aching head. Therefore, I decided to end it there.
