Update from DBuzz Development Team! #137
Hello, DBuzz development enthusiasts!
DBuzz Development Report - Version 3.40.0
Welcome to the DBuzz Tuesday Development Report! We're thrilled to bring you the latest updates and improvements in DBuzz version 3.40.0. This production release is packed with exciting enhancements and bug fixes that further elevate the user experience.
Let's venture into the details!
Improvements
In this release, we've made several valuable improvements to enhance your DBuzz journey:
Enhanced User Identification: We've implemented an "at" sign (@) at the login stage, providing a seamless and intuitive way to identify usernames. Now, logging in and navigating through profiles is even smoother and more user-friendly.
Enhanced Profile Creation: To further enhance the profile creation process, we've added default cover images for new profiles. Now, when creating a profile, users can enjoy a visually appealing and personalized touch right from the start.
Improved Profile Referral System: We've redirected old profile referral links to the new profile referral format, ensuring a seamless transition and avoiding confusion for users. This enhancement streamlines the referral process, making it more accessible and convenient.
Refined CoinGecko Integration: We've addressed and removed broken CoinGecko stats, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data presented on DBuzz. By eliminating inconsistencies, users can trust the information provided and make better-informed decisions regarding their HIVE and HBD tokens.
Enhanced User Profile Management: To maintain a clean and concise user experience, we've implemented a character limit for profile bios. This feature allows users to effectively express themselves while ensuring profiles remain organized and easy to read.
Bug Fixes
In addition to the improvements, we've also resolved a notable bug:
Blank Post Posting Bug: We've fixed the issue where blank posts could be created by using only whitespace characters. This bug fix ensures that posts without any actual content are no longer published.
Further Notes
As we continue to propel development forward, we want to share some additional updates:
Production Releases: We have modified our release naming convention and no longer use the term "Mainnet" release for production releases. Moving forward, all significant releases will be referred to as Production Releases, aligning with industry standards.
Metamask Integration: Our efforts to integrate Metamask are making steady progress. The research phase for DBuzz v4.0.0 has already been completed, paving the way for the implementation of this highly anticipated feature. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development!
Developer Advancement: Our newly-onboarded developers are rapidly acclimating to the intricacies of the DBuzz codebase. As they grow more proficient, their speed and effectiveness in contributing to future releases will increase week after week. Expect accelerated development and the introduction of even more exciting features and enhancements!
Continued Momentum: We're thrilled to announce that this is the second consecutive back-to-back release in two weeks. This consistent momentum is a testament to our dedication and commitment to delivering a dynamic and evolving platform. With each subsequent release, we are committed to introducing more features and improvements, so be ready for another round of exciting updates next week!

What is the intent behind the MetaMask integration? Seeing as $HIVE is not compatible with MM unless wrapped to Ethereum or Polygon, both of which have obscenely-low liquidity and few access or exit points.
I think it's more a provisional login than a financial bridge.
Thank you for this update, and looking forward for more faster development from the team.
