"You don't know me, but I know you", the voice said before the call cut out.

After a hectic schedule I went home to freshen up and later had a light meal which included salads and fruits. Few hours later, I had a call from my Boss asking if I could spend time on checking with the investors, some given details. And he said it was URGENT )

My eyes was almost closed when this call came to me. But I had no other choice but to go ahead with the command. I was to check from the enlisted names, if the details provided from were accurate.

So I had to call each investor to finalize their details. The list went on and finally ended with one last caller, who was adamant to provide any details asked by me. Though the process was a verification, he was admant to remain silent on other end. Finally, I lost my temper and snapped the call.

After a few minutes, the caller returned my call. With the hope of getting details, I took over the call but then the same saga continued. So once again I snapped the call and this repeated for another two to three times.

As it was an odd hour, a fear within me weakened my strength and so I ignored the calls. But after an hour, the call returned and this time a voice said
"Hello" Do you recognize my voice.
I was dumb stuck. The voice continued
You don't know me, but I know you.
And he started narrating incidents related to me a few months ago. That was utter shocking. And finally he ended saying Your boss knows me.

The very next day I narrated the whole incident to my boss about this investor whose only information provided was his name and contact number. And my boss with great cautious saw the Applicant name and contact number. His face expression changed and was sweating....

It showed he had some grief and wanted to express. And finally showed me a paper cutting which showed, this person as a rich man and committed suicide a month ago after losing his entire money in a casino. He was one of their wealthiest investor.

It was a moment of shock for me when I felt I was talking to a dead man on phone. Though I was dumb stuck, with all my courage I tried making a call again to this same number in the presence of my boss. But this time the phone went to beep and no more ring tones. So that was the mystery behind this story.
