The year of 2022 is coming to an end and we are habitual to review what had happened in this year.
The reason why I wrote this post is because I had seen tons of negative emotions around Splinterlands and this made me feel like Splinterlands had won the worst game award of 2022 😂 Then this prompted me to make a brief check about the price performance of some other gaming tokens in 2022. Let's see how the other gaming tokens performed so far:

Certainly, we all understood this is a bear year for cryptocurrency and it is undoubtedly true that we encountered waves of bloodbath throughout this year. So it would be unsurprising to find that all these tokens had fallen more than 90% in 2022 and Splinterlands appeared to outperform a little bit. Indeed, the price action of a token is only one aspect to evaluate the true value of a game and even so, the performance of SPS was not the worst.
In view of the high-chanced recession arriving in 2023, I will remain cautious to manage my portfolio but at the same time, I will stay hopeful that Splinterlands will become a valuable asset in the near future.
