# A Season of Letting Go - Splinter Stats Season 72 Report Card

This season, amidst personal financial troubles, I was left with no choice but to let go of some of my assets for the game. I ended up selling a few of my gold foil cards like the legendary Ifrit Rising and Wave Brood, and a couple of beta cards like Skeleton Assassin. I'm a hodler and this has been a very difficult decision for me to make so I tried to push back as much as possible until I no longer could.

Good thing is, this didn't really have much negative effect on my gameplay as evident on my performance this season because I still kept regular foil copies of those cards and my owned CP is still above 70k, good enough to remain in Silver 1 where I've been playing for the past half a year now. Where it will hurt directly is on my rental earnings during end of season since I won't have much extra CP to rent out anymore. Also, it looks like I'm really leaning more now on playing Modern Format, now that I've started to part with my older cards.

On the other hand, this move actually helped spice up my game play a bit which I mentioned has become rather stale in my last report card. The reason for that is because I now need most of the CP for my own main account, meaning I no longer delegate to my alt or put up for rent some of the cards I've neglected to use before. Now that they are in my arsenal, I've slowly integrated the likes of Iza the Fanged, Lira the Dark, Desert Dragon and Zyvax Vuul in my strategy. My Death line up, which I consider to be my weakest except in very few rulesets and most specially in high mana, has seen a nice boost with the addition of Lira and Djinn Muirat. And of course, how can I forget Baakjira! I never thought I needed this card but thanks to @silentxnecrosis who game me one as appreciation for helping him out on his Twitch streams, my Water deck has become even stronger. I broke my winstreak record again for like the third consecutive season, from 19 to 27! Win Rate ratio is also still good and I also broke again the highest rank I ended that season at 74.

Summary

Another weak tournament performance. Decent showing in @foreveraverage's Delegation tourney where I ended at 20th, and a 30th place finish at YGG's SPL Weekend Challenge. The latter gave special prizes to the some of the placements divisible by 5 so I got lucky on that one though getting 500 DEC!

2 Epics, no Legendaries or gold foils this season, and no packs again for 3 seasons now. Still, the End of Season rewards I got are much better than the previous one.

🟣 Rental Report

Again rented out some extra CP's for the last couple of days of the season and earned almost the same as last season's, about 400DEC. This will definitely go down next season since I've started selling some of these cards.

⭐ SPS Report

Still trying to go back to 2k staked. Less than 3 months left for airdrop so gotta make the most of it.

I continue to struggle to keep hodling to my assets and will probably continue to sell off a few more gold foil cards, but there are some I refuse to give up like my regular foil level 2 Doctor Blight. He's the single most expensive card I own at the moment but I hope I can get by this slump without resorting to sell him. And hopefully the whole crypto recovers soon which will help me out in keeping my well-loved assets, and perhaps even let me grow my collection again.
