What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying an awesome day with your friends and family. If you are a splinterlands player, then you must have noticed that the ranked season has ended just decently and if you have been playing, then most probably you have claimed hour season end Glint rewards by now and started playing for this current one. Talking about me, I also enjoyed playing the last ranked season and though I reached my goal by getting into the Champion League one time, sadly luck didn’t favour and during the last 2 days, I lost matches consecutively and ended up in Diamond I before the season end. However, in the last season, my overall playtime increased by a lot and I also won more than 2500 SPS in spite of having only around 200k active staked SPS. On the other hand, you must have heard about the new update of reward chests being relaunched into the game, so I have intentionally lost some matches and come down to Gold I after the season reset so that I can earn more reward chests throughout the season. Right now I am playing at Gold I tier with a trophy rating of 2,780 and also used all my Energies today. So now I will take some rest and let it recharge for a day or 2 before jumping into the battlefield again and let’s see how this ongoing season goes for me.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post and today I have chosen to display some more unique monsters. In my previous post, I showcased monsters with the Demoralize ability and today, I will be discussing monsters with the Taunt ability. I like the Taunt ability very much because monsters with this ability attract all enemy attacks and give your other monsters enough time to attack and kill enemy monsters. So if you are interested, let us jump right in without any further ado.
Syrenth
The first card that I would like to talk about is SYRENTH and this is a monster card that got launched with the latest Rebellion Reward edition card-set. This monster belongs to the Dragon element and it costs 9 mana to be used in battles, so you can use this monster while playing large mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Ranged and it is a legendary type card, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to max level. Apart from the Taunt ability, this monster also comes with a handful of other abilities and also possesses a good attack power which will help you to win more battles.
At level 1, this monster only gets 4 ranged attack at 2 speed with 8 health and also gets the Taunt ability, so it can attract enemy attacks since its initial level while damaging enemy monsters with its range attack. But as you start upgrading this card, it gets the Evade ability at the second level, receives Return Fire ability at level 3 and when you finally upgrade this monster to its max level 4, it possesses 4 ranged attack at 2 speed with 1 armour and 10 health and also gets another ability called Stun. Now looking at its abilities, the Evade ability will increase its chance of dodging enemy melee and ranged attacks, Return Fire will damage enemy range attackers whenever they hit this card and the stun ability if applied will make the enemy card to skip its turn for the next round.
Gallicus
The next monster that I would like to showcase is GALLICUS and this old armoured warrior only understands the language of war. This is also a monster card that belongs to the Life element and its attack type is also Ranged. This card only costs 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches or while playing Little Leagues ruleset matches. It is also a legendary type card so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards if you want to upgrade it to max level. Apart from the Taunt ability, it also possesses 3 other abilities - Shield, Strengthen and Headwinds which I am about to talk about below.
At level 1, this monster only possesses 2 ranged attack at 1 speed with 5 health and also possesses the Taunt ability since its initial level. But as you keep upgrading this card, it gets the Shield ability at level 2, Strengthen ability at the level and finally when it reaches level 4, it gets the same 2 range attack at 1 speed with 5 health but another new ability called Headwinds. Now with the Shield ability, it will receive reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attack, the Strengthen ability will increase all friendly monsters max health by 1 and the Headwinds ability will decrease every enemy ranged monsters attack by 1. So not only does this Monster help your friendly monsters with more health and through Taunt ability, it also weakens enemy attackers with Headwinds so it will be very useful against range attackers.
I hope you liked reading my post and also lived these 2 monsters with the Taunt ability that I talked about above. Let me know which one is your favourite and why in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.

Taunt is one of my favorite strategies. I like using Iziar+Djinn Renova combo in the Light splinter.
