guild competition. I had a lot of fun in this event, helping my guild, Shield of Glory, qualify for the final round. While my final round didn't go so well (I finished last), it allowed me to play with Delya, one of the new reward cards, because this was a ghost card event.Last week, the YGG Brawler @brybro27 held a ghost card modern tournament as a
Here is the battle where I got to use Delya and she gave me a strong advantage. I considered many different details when decided to play with Delya and where to place her. First, I wanted to leverage her double strike by placing her next to a martyr monster, like Iziar. This boosted her already potent attack to become 5 double striking range damage, meaning she would inflict 10 damage per round!
Another big benefit for Delya is her high speed and dodge abilities. As this was a battle giving all melee monsters sneak, I had to ensure my rear monster was evasive enough to get some misses from the opposition. Delya also has backfire, so any monster that did miss their attack on her would take two points of damage. That is a very handy and synergistic package of abilities on one monster.
The battle played out exactly as I had expected. Iziar soaked up a ton of damage and martyred Delya towards the end of Round 2. Delya started Round 3 with some big attacks on Inevitable as well as drawing several sneak attack misses since the taunt monster was no longer on the battlefield.
This just goes to show the versatility and power of this new neutral legendary promo card. It won't be for sale for another week or so, but I'm excited to add her to my collection. Besides being an excellent rear monster with her evasion and backfire abilities, she is also a powerful attacker, getting around forcefield with two 4-power attacks.
I suspect she will also be very popular in range-only battles, where a common strategy is to play summoners and monsters with return fire. Due to her reflection shield at Level 4, Delya will not take any return fire damage, making her an excellent threat in range-only battles.
I hope you enjoyed this sneak preview of the new legendary promo card in battle. Despite the high price tag, Delya will be an integral range attack monster by providing important advantages in range-only, neutral-only, and odd-mana battles. She is definitely another promo card I am excited about adding to my collection.
Until next time, maybe all your rewards turn gold!

Greatbattle, it's incredible at max level all the abilites the cards have. It's a complete change of strategy.
Enjoy your day
You're so right. I remember when I first started playing in silver an gold league and I was in awe of all the abilities on a monster so that it would go to the second line. Now with cards like Olivia with mimic, I've seen abilities go to three or even four lines. Incredible!
Love it. Definitely getting Delya, and the Reflection Shield upgrade is terrific.
Hope you strike gold Duce!
Me too! I'm not sure if I can afford to max her in gold foil, which is okay, because I don't have the Yodin in GF either. I will definitely get her in RF and maybe, just maybe, I'll buy 25 to at least guarantee the 1 BCX of GF for silver league modern brawls.
great job to bybro and all the guild that participate on the guild tournament. Hope that there will be more of this in the future.
Yes, he already said he is working on making the next one with a few changes. This time, the two guild representatives will play different formats, one modern and the other wild. Then once the cut to the Top 10 guilds is made, BOTH players from the qualifying guilds will take part in the finals.
