The Ruleset

image.png

  • Rulesets - Shades of Gray
  • Mana Cap - 14
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Mylor Crowling

  • As the mana cap was only 14 I needed offensive summoner to get an advantage over my enemy
  • So in my case as earth was active I went with Mylor Crowling one of the best summoners in my opinion
1st Position: Disintegrator

  • Disintegrator was my only tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Disintegrator here a lot is his Demoralize ability
  • Even tho Disintegrator do not have the best base stats I still played him as they are great enough and in case my enemy should play melee based comp the combo of Demoralize and Thorns would win the game for me in an instant
  • Demoralize - Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Units by 1
2nd Position: Furious Chicken

  • Furious Chicken was here just to tank one attack and possible damage the attacker with Thorns
  • Also why not play him here he costs 0 mana and I had extra room
3rd Position: Creeping Ooze

  • Next up was Creeping Ooze with his amazing Slow ability
  • Love this monster so much as you get the Slow ability for only 1 mana
  • He could also possible tank 1-2 hits and damage enemies with Thorns
  • Slow - Reduces the Speed of all enemy Units by 1
4th Position: Uraeus

  • For last but not least is a wonderful Sneak monster
  • For only 3 mana you get 2 melee damage (with Sneak), 2 speed, 1 armor and 2hp
  • Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit

Starting board

image.png

  • After seeing the starting board I was quite on the fence how the battle would end up
  • Even tho I had managed to predict my enemy playing melee and countering it quite well he did have much higher level monsters
  • But lets start the battle and have a look

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • First round nothing really happened
  • We both managed to take of each others first monsters armor
  • But i luckily realized that my enemy does not have enough damage to take down my Disintegrator in time
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round the battle was 100% decided as next round his Gargoya Lion was going to fall and after that my enemy had no more damage left to win this battle
  • But lets keep watching
3rd Round

image.png

  • Even tho i lost my Disintegrator in the 3rd round I also managed to take down his Gargoya Lion and that finally secured me my victory
  • Now I just needed to wait for the start of the next round and then face my victory
4th Round

image.png

  • It took me 1 turn to kill my enemies last standing monster
  • After his Xenith Archer had fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
  • The strategy to take away from this battle is the basic Thorns and Demoralize abilities combo against melee comp
  • You do need to hit the prediction of what comp your enemy will play but if you do the battle should be a smooth sailing from there
