The ruleset for this week's challenge
- Rise of the Commons - Only common and rare units may be used in battles
The ruleset that I managed to get
- Rulesets - Target Practice, Rise of the Commons & Super Sneak
- Mana Cap - 17
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Thaddius Brood
- With the ruleset and limited element selection that I got I felt like Death was the one for me in this battle
- So in my case i settled for Thaddius Brood was he was my highest level summoner and had so great stats on the side
1st Position: Furious Chicken
- Nothing really to say here other than why not play him he costs 0 mana when you have room for him of course
2nd Position: Animated Corpse
- Animated Corpse was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Animated Corpse here a lot is his Void ability and high hp
- Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%
3rd Position: Creeping Ooze
- Next up is Creeping Ooze
- He is in my team for two main reasons
- One is that he can tank at least 1 attack if it comes down to it and for second is his amazing Slow ability
- Slow - Reduces the Speed of all enemy Units by 1
4th Position: Skeleton Assassin
- Skeleton Assassin was my idea to take down some easy targets in the enemies backline
- For 3 mana you get a lot of stats being 2 melee damage, 5 speed and 3hp
- Sneak - Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit
5th Position: Ravenhood Warden
- Next up in line is one lovely soul bound card
- Even tho you don't get a lot of stats for 4 mana you do get the Protect ability which I really like
- Protect - All friendly units gain +2 Armor
6th Position: Carrion Shade
- Carrion Shade was my backline tank for this battle
- Also he was able to attack from the last position thanks to Super Sneak
- Even tho he does not have the highest number of heath he will be quite tankie with the Protect +2 armor and Flying
- Flying - Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the flying ability
Starting board
- Already after seeing the starting board I was quite sure I was going to lose as my enemy was running much higher level cards than myself but anything could still happen
- I was hoping my Protect ability could give me enough tankiness to take down my enemies backline monster
- Even tho my hopes were not high I still had a chance as anything could happen in a battle of Splinterlands, lets have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st & 2nd Round
- After 1st Round the board looked almost the same the only thing was I had lost almost all my armor and got nothing back
- 2nd Round was not better either I took down the only monster who my enemy wanted me to take down and also lost 2 of my monster in this round
3rd Round
- After 3rd Round all hope was lost
- I had only one monster left with 2 hp and my enemy was still looking stronger than ever
- Now I just needed to wait for my enemy to take down my last standing monster and face my defeat
4th Round
- It took my enemy 1 turn to kill my last standing monster
- After my Animated Corpse had fallen I took a fat L
- Battle Replay Link
Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
- I battle came down to huge level difference in cards
- but also my enemy made a great comp overall so I basically had no chance at winning this one
