Splinterlands: Terrible Gaming Experience Part 1

Hi friends,

For players who have been playing for a few years, it’s pretty obvious that the gaming experience in Splinterlands is terrible. This terrible experience seems to be deliberately designed to keep players spending money on card packs.

First of all, probabilities in the game can be adjusted through programming, which creates a lot of room for manipulation. For example, if the system detects that you’re on a winning streak, it will match you with players who have extremely powerful cards, increasing your chances of losing. If you’re winning too much, your cards might suddenly start missing attacks against opponents, while their cards can hit yours perfectly. They claim this makes the game more “exciting,” but does losing match after match really make anyone happy?

Take this particular match as an example: a card with Speed 1 keeps landing attacks on a card with Speed 6. Does that even make sense? If you only look at the match result, you might not notice these irregularities. But as I’ve mentioned before, it feels like the system is rigged. The developers can adjust win rates however they like.

With a system like this, would you still want to play the game? Would you still spend money on in-game assets?

Strange that you support a post like this. It is very short and makes accusations without almost no evidence. I am considering undelegating all my tokens from Fallen Angeles.
