Hello everyone, this time I will show you an exciting battle in this Splinterlands Challenge

This time Deeplurker will be the protagonist in my team, a melee water creature that can attack from any position to the lowest enemy unit thanks to the Opportunity ability (as long as it's not in the first position), it can also apply Poison to the enemy when it attacks and passively reduces the melee damage of all enemies by 1.

Lore: Terrifying to behold, Deeplurkers are a poisonous fish that dwell at the bottom of the ocean and prey on the weak. However, they are known to travel to the surface in times of dire need. Many believe that they are sensitive to the balance of elemental water magic and, when that balance is in danger, the Deeplurkers rise to attack or defend it.

Deeplurker has no defensive abilities, and because it's a melee monster, it's vulnerable to units with the Thorns ability, which deals 2 damage to the attacker if it's a melee unit.

I like to use it, especially when the earth and life element are not available, because of the Eternal Tofu that gives thorns to units.

In the modern format, in water element units, Deeplurker is one of the 4 units that have the Opportunity ability, and the only one that has the Poison and Demoralize abilities.

I decided to use the reliable Kelya as my summoner. In the first position is Grimbardun Smith, who is a great durable unit. Then I used Pallus who can attack from the second position. After that is Nerissa Tridawn, a magic unit with 5 power, and the protagonist Deeplurker in the fourth position. And two ranged units Swamp Spitter (which will restore armor) and Wave Brood (which draws the attention of the enemy units forcing them to attack it first) in the last positions.

In the first round everyone survives, but in the second round my Wave Brood is the first unit to be defeated. Then, my Deeplurker takes its first victim, destroying enemy Tide Bitter. And Nerissa also defeats a unit, Queen of Clowns.

In the third round, Nerissa destroys enemy Anasth.

In the fourth round, Swamp Spitter is defeated by the Poison applied by the enemy Deeplurker in the second round. And enemy Meriput Slinger defeats Nerissa. After that Deeplurker attacks enemy Meriput and apply Poison to it.

In the fifth round, Meriput is defeated by the poison applied the previous round.

In the sixth round, after some enemy attacks, Grimbardun Smith is defeated by the poison. And my Deeplurker defeats the enemy Deeplurker.

In the seventh round, all my units failed their attacks against the enemy.

And in the eight and final round, Pallus is defeated by the enemy, and after Commander Slide attacks Deeplurker, it gains the benefits of the Enrage effec,t gaining 50% bonus melee attack and speed. So, with now 8 melee power and 6 speed, it successfully attacks to Commander and defeats it, winning the battle.

Fortunately in this battle my Deeplurker managed to defeat Commander Slide, which is very difficult to defeat with melee attacks, due to it has a lot of speed and has the Dodge ability, which gives it 25% bonus chance to evade melee and ranged attacks. Also, my Deeplurker was under the Blind effect provided by the enemy summoner, which reduced its acurracy by 15%. So I was very lucky this time.
