Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: New Promo Card Battles - Delya

Welcome Guys!

I am so excited about upcoming new promo cards, I had a occasion to play with max level version in friendly challenge. My first choice was with new promo legendary card, which have double strike. Version, which is playable in challenges, before promo sales is little different one, but I decided to buff this card with additional reflection shield! Want to see how it goes? Then you need to read my post, but first I want to introduce card Delya!

Delya - New Promo Legendary Card!

Delya was once an archer of the Xenith Scale, an order of monks sworn to maintain the balance between good and evil. Until they could be certain their actions would not disrupt the balance, they’d refused to stand against the legions of Chaos. Instead, they sent Delya from their Praetorian temple to observe and report.

But they failed to grasp the enormous scale of the invasion. By the time they did, it was too late… though perhaps it had always been too late.

Soon after leaving the temple of the Xenith Scale, Delya joined with Bera Dallin and her allies. Together, they opened the rift that brought Oshuur Constantia and her Riftwatchers—as well as hope—once more unto the Splinterlands.

Delya no longer fights to maintain balance. She fights against oppression, to protect those around her, and to eradicate evil wherever it may rise.

As you can read directly from lore about Delya, she is weapon of justice and she fights for balance between good and evil. When times are uncertain and everything seems to be swallowed up in chaos. Where the devil cannot go, he will send the woman there. Delya is the reason to belive that preatorian women can handle that with really powerful set of skills.

Bronze League Strategy

Starting with level 1, She is able from the start to attack twice. In bronze league She have 2 distance fighting skill, 5 speed and 6 health without armor. This can be really dangerous card in low league, because with summoner like Risqruel Drath her attack advance to 3. That gonna be huge, so better think about good strategy to have her in the battlefield as long as possible. Of course playing versus opponent's Risqruel Drath there is always risk you get taunt for your Delya, but damn why, if no? You will let her dominate the game. This is a game changer and you need to know about that! Tip from me, just put her somewhere in the back and get another card with taunt in the front, then taunt from Risqruel Drath will work as a second, when your tank get's down!

Silver League Strategy

This screen from official Splinterlands discord sever. It make a huge difference, so I will take a look how it change in Silver league.

In silver league Delya get second ability, which should be amplify, but card get instead of that get dodge skill, which in my opinion is much better. Delya will have the same attack and def stats like in bronze, but will get defensive ability to sustain a little bit longer. Strategy to play with her in silver should be similar like in bronze maybe with use of some different summoners like Quix, Ilthain or even Tofu. Dodge is good skill, but should I risk put this card at the end of my team? This card is game changer and op damage dealer, so I suppose I should give her something at the back to not be the first sneak target, this is of course only my suggestion and you not need to follow that :)

Gold League Strategy

Gold League is the place, where the fun begins trust me bro! Why? Because reflect shield is a game changer for a card, which is really fragile even with dodge, because with 3 damage can kill herself in just one turn! With that, she not care anymore about return fire damage!

Diamond & Champion Strategy

As stated above funs begins and now you have card with even bigger damage - 4 and with double strike. So possibly can deal 2x 4 damage without resist. Additional ability of backfire makes this card so sharp and trust me you won't mess with her! You need to be careful about Cryptic expose ability with scattershot, which can remove your reflect shield. In my game I was able to play with reflection shield and with old amplify ability all inclusive together!

This was a friendly challenge. If you don't have online friends, which can play with you and you really really want make a post about this new promo card, just ask in tarvern in official Splinterlands discord about a challenge! Anyway this is really a good occasion to test new cards and learn something new in Splinterlands and of course I had a lot of fun!

Anyway I had little problems with ghost cards.
So I will tell you how to fix that, if you ever will struggle with that!

Ehh first I had problem with sending a challenge, just blockchain was slow or something.

Challenge goes trough, but I had only some cards available to play.

Ok, it works well, thanks @wibble for help with that!

Problem was really fast reconigzed by @royaleagle as filter issue.

Now after reset I had full ghost cards deck available to play, so let's have some fun!

Cryptic vs Reklah

I knew from the start that it gonna be tough battle, when I saw Cryptic on the other side! I really really wanted to play with Delya in Diamond league with reflect shield, so I decided to play with Reklah, which compared to Cryptic build is not so fast, but I had runi, which always strike, so maybe it would be not that bad at all.

Blast ruleset, return fire and thorns a really difficult ruleset to play with. That's why reflect shield is a game changer. I used 4 cards with reflect shield Venka and Delya get reflect shield from summoner. So let's rumble!

Paradoxically amplify was a game changer in this game :D The only one ability, which will be replaced by reflect shield. So Legendary Promo card with full force ready to fight!

Secound round start from death of both tanks!

Djinn just kills my tank, but dies from magic reflect with amplify!

Now it was time for my Delya and Venka to shine! Delya just land some hits on Baakira and Venka just smash. Second hit from Venka was a miss, but without Baakira and Darg my opponent's team was not dangerous anymore with only 2 healers and one scatter pick on the table.

Runi made a really decent work, takes many hits and waste his revive just to cover Venka from main damage. As I said in strategy, I really not like to put Delya as last pick, with blast ruleset she need to use her reflect shield.

2 Hits for 4 damage and 2 from blast and that wes a huge final finisher for Anastah!

Venka just finish her!
And then Venka smash!

Flawless victory what else I can say!
