Let's go with the 8th day of Zingtober! Monochrome has been left for this month of October.
Hike, related to Hiking. I was confused, it is not a common word in my language per se, first time I read it. But there I was, thinking and meditating on some things for the entry of the day and this is how the Forest Healer came out accompanied by her small Fire-type Dragon.
I'm falling in love with Monochrome, but I think that after 31 days in black and white, the colors will be a surprise haha. I did my illustration this afternoon, the tablet wanted to help out today and it was quite fun. I loved the update of dragon-type creatures, I love the neatness of the new creatures. I really appreciate the effort behind the entire Holozing Team.
Let's quickly see Drawing process:
I really like the Monochrome style, I think the ink style relationship is fantastic, one of my favorite digital artists alludes a lot to the framework, a characteristic that I am trying to adapt to my Zingtober participations. The illustration starts with a rough sketch, I only use it to position the main elements on the canvas. Then I continue with a more careful outline, simultaneously using the eraser. Some of the lines were like that and stayed that way, some I changed for general aesthetics. Then I moved on to a stage of detailing the framework, textures and shadows. One of the prettiest things was the hiking staff, with the Zing logo and its hair, I love the tangled locks.
As for the brushes, I used the Smooth Round Pen in most of them at different thicknesses depending on the effect I wanted, in addition to helping me give more movement to my characters. Other brushes used: airbrush, blur, watercolor roug, leaf brush, cells and spray. I used the halftone layer and Gaussian effect a couple of times.
