Embroidering a cap for my mom (ENG/ESP)

portada.png

Hello dear crafters, happy needlework Monday, I am happy to publish my work again, on this wonderful day, we start the week wishing you all well.

Several days ago I was wanting to embroider something nice, so I remembered that I had a purple cap, in the drawer of the earrings that my mom had asked me to do a nice embroidery, and as I know that she likes flowers and more than like it, it is her delight, her day to day, her motivation, I decided to embroider daisy flowers, also with her favorite colors.

I want to thank and congratulate my friend @sahi1 for his constancy and achievements in this beautiful art, who has been motivating me with his embroidery works since the beginning, and is always inviting me to continue with the practices, since I was forgetting the basic stitches I had learned.

I hope you like part of the process of this relaxing and motivating work.

The pictures you will see below were taken with my TECNO SPARK GO 2024.

Embroidery is more than sewing, it is to capture an idea and give it meaning with color and form, a drawing that becomes a colorful thread, it is to transform a simple piece into a work of art, to love and feel loved, especially when we do it for someone so special.

You don't need the best materials, but you do need the motivation that inspires you to make art.

With a pencil I drew the idea of making daisy flowers, the way I would place them, and where I would start embroidering, how I would start, if I would get it right or if I would have to repeat it several times, were the questions before starting, the truth is that I prepared myself to achieve it.

I immediately threaded the needle with white thread and started with the first daisy stitch, which despite having done it some time ago, I felt a little lost with this stitch technique, so I refreshed my mind watching some video classes, it is an extremely easy stitch, but if you are not careful or it is too open or too closed it is a matter of mastering the technique.

With all my enthusiasm to see how my white daisy flowers were turning out, I repeated the process, starting with the pink flowers.

Then I started making the stem, with stem stitch or back stitch, which looks very nice and is easy to embroider and achieve several embroideries, not only stems.

And to make the leaves I was a little bit stuck with the thread, but finally, I loved making them, I know I'll do better next time. See.

Vez.

Making the center of the flowers was another of my favorite memories, because as a child I embroidered my dolls stockings with dotted or button flowers, that's what I called it.

This stitch was taught to me by a neighbor who was much older than me, but she liked to share sewing clothes for the dolls, it is also a beautiful stitch and you can create a lot with it.

Finishing the French stitch, in the center of the daisies, I was fascinated how this cap changed from a simple cap to a vibrant cap full of love and experiences.

I hope you are pleased with my work today, it was all half of the day, maybe I exaggerate, but I dedicated myself friends, I had to do a rehearsal before starting again, they say that what is learned is not forgotten, but you have to warm up the engines. hahaha. Thank you for joining me on this blessed day.

I wish everyone to be very happy every day.

@lauracraft I am glad to see that you are motivated by my words and embroidered a beautiful cap for your mother. 😊 I can see that the cap is tougher than the fabric and embroidering it would be a bit difficult but you have given the round shape of the flowers very well. 👏🏻💞 You have put every stitch very well and it shows that you have not forgotten anything. 🪡🙂

It was a good attempt to warm up the engine of your skills after a long time. 😄 You used beautiful colored threads to make these flowers and it looks quite neat. 💖💐 I really like your flowers and I hope to see more of your beautiful embroideries. 🥰

Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Really this type of work is very relaxing, well at least for me everything that involves manual labor I consider it almost therapeutic. You have done a beautiful job, everyone will be envious of this original cap.

Wow I love these crafts, I consider it as a form of therapy, it frees me from a lot of thinking because it doesn't allow me to think about anything but making my work pretty and thinking that they will like it makes me stronger. Thank you for such a motivating comment, I am glad that you also share these relaxing ideas.
Greetings.💞

Thanks honey, that's right, my mom is going to love these embroidered flowers.💜
