Hello Hive Fam! How are you? How was your weekend? Well in this blog I'm going to share what happened to my weekend.
First, let me ask you guys. What are you doing on the weekend? Honestly, when I am in the city I will only follow my boring routine. Sleep, Eat, Wash my clothes, wash the dishes, rot in bed, and jot down information in my notes for tomorrow's class. That's an unending cycle and so unproductive. I can't even know what the outside looked like—If I open the windows I'll be in shock to see that it's already night and surprisingly in the city my body doesn't follow any certain time to wake up or sleep. Sometimes I forget to eat because I'm always on my phone.
On the other hand, if I am in the province I'm very much productive. I do anything to exercise my body and to release the stress in my mind. I always find a way to reconnect with nature and not just to rot in my bed.
Hiking is one of the things that I want to do, I learned that hiking permits us to drench ourselves in nature and it also gives a great way to remain dynamic and keep up good well being. Regular hiking can also improve our endurance, and strength and can burn our calories just like in our PE class.
When I joined Hive I met a lot of people with that veteran in doing hikes. I notice when I stalk our OCD Ma'am @jobeliever , Ma'am @naymhapz and especially Ma'am @callmesmile that they love reconnecting to nature and in their free time they go trekking— they also love exploring different mountains and discovering beautiful lakes and it fantasizes me. Their experiences ignite me to be part of the hiking community!
As I start to write in the hive, Ma'am @jobeliever messages me if I am free since they're planning on exploring another place. She asked me if I wanted to join in their hike on the weekend. But at that time I have classes and I'm in the city. At first, I declined her offer because of my class schedule and I couldn't come home to the province. However, due to extreme heat in the city— Our university president and administrative heads came up with the idea to go back to asynchronous classes. They announce on their page that starting April 5 we will have online classes. I am very glad to hear the news because at last, I'll be back in my hometown. After I read the announcement that had been posted on our university’s page, I immediately messaged Ma'am @jobeliever that I'd be joining the hike. I suggested that there was a good place near our place and to my surprise they agreed, after that I and ma'am jo communicated about the date and time.
As a Filipino, we always welcome our guests with a warm welcome. Of course, as a Filipino, our hospitality is flowing in our blood so, after we set the date I immediately cleaned our house and told my parents that I'd be having visitors on Sunday. I asked permission if I could butchered one of our chickens because I would cook it for my visitor. They agreed so I prepared the things that I would use and of course, I cleaned our surroundings. However, I was very shocked when Ma'am Jo brought 3 bangus. She told me that her, ma'am @callmesmile and ma'am @naymhapz bought a bangus as a appreciation gift to us because they don't want to go empty handed. I really appreciate it.(thank you so much teachers!) The big chicken is enough for our lunch but having bangus too is very satisfying. Ma'am @jobeliever also brought condensed milk because we planned on making coconut juice but the coconut tree is very tall and we didn't find the man that used to get those. Despite that, we still drink another coconut in another branch but only water.
After talking about hive and other things, we packed our things to get ready for another adventure. We gear up and ready ourselves to face the extreme heat.
The place was not that far but taking the roads with an intense heat is very dehydrating and suffocating, but we continued because this is what we have longed for. On our way, we stopped by—a deep well that was surrounded by beautiful coconut trees. The beauty of it was the kaleidoscope. The trees that surround the place protect the people under the sun— and it's very nice because you can't be sweaty because of the cold breeze and the covered place.
After capturing the mesmerizing scenery, we continued our journey. The road that we will be taking is tiring since we're like going up a hill. We also have kids in this adventure so we took our path slowly and gently for the young ones.
In a few minutes, we reached our destination, it was a treehouse with a peak view. By looking at its tranquility I can say that all the tiredness had paid off. The view can disconnect the stressors of everyday life. Nature can really help us reduce stress, anxiety, problems and even the feelings of depression — by looking at its peaceful view. After we settled down we talked about life and admired the nature that surrounds us. I can say that spending time with nature has a positive effect on our mental health. The beauty of nature and its calm atmosphere gives us peace of mind.
So what are you waiting for? LET'S HIKE TOGETHER HIVERS!
We really had great time here. Thanks for your warm welcome dzae🥰

It is a perfect place to reconnect with nature. I observed that you have a tree house at home. I assumed it is so relaxing to stay on the tree house at night especially when it is full moon. You have a nice place Ma'am @mkyzxna
it was really relaxing and peaceful ma'am especially if the environment is silent
It looks like it would be delicious to eat meat and also eat coconut.
for sure sir but sadly the coconut only contains water at that time😔
Hehehe..This means the coconut is too young.
