A widely used vegetable and its history.

Hello my loyal and beloved friends, nature and plant lovers. How are you? I wish you all the best and continued success. It's great to see you again in this post and share about nature. On this occasion I would like to share about a plant that is half vine and its fruit is very beneficial for life. The plant is known as Cucumber. When I visited my friend's garden, I was very happy with the flourishing of this plant.

The fruit of this plant is very rich in benefits and is quite popular in the world. And many also like the fruit. The fruit is widely processed into vegetables and others. About the history of its origin, there is a cross opinion between botanists. Some botanists argue that the origin of this plant from the slopes of the Himalayas and India. This is due to the discovery of wild cucumber genetic sources in the Himalayan mountain slopes. A botanist named Augustin Pyramus de Condolle included cucumbers as native plants of India.

In contrast to Soviet botanist Nikolai Ivanovic and some other botanists. They argue that this plant comes from China. This is because they argue that the genetic source is found there. Especially in the mountainous regions of central and western China, as well as the surrounding lowlands. And they also argue that this plant has been known since the second century BC.

In my area, this plant is mostly grown in the lowlands. At first this plant was widely planted in Aceh, West Java, East Java, Central Java and Bengkulu. And finally spread widely to all provinces in the country I live in, namely Indonesia.

That's a little bit about the history of this plant. Hope it was useful and you liked it. I say goodbye, hopefully we can meet next time. Thank you for everything. Greetings from nature lovers.
