Very interesting question. Thanks for asking it! To answer your question from my personal point of view, here are my thoughts on the matter:

  1. Savings are very important (save as much HBD and HIVE as possible; it eventually pays off very well);
  2. Stacking your HIVE engine coins (it pays off very well after a while, depending on the token);
  3. Earning various HIVE engine tokens (depending on your interaction and content and its quality across the HIVE ecosystem);
  4. Donations via buymeberries, ecency, or another donation service.
