Hello my amazing Hivers! How are you? I hope you're doing well. It's @xavierariz and I'm back again with another story to tell.
Hello everyone! How's the new year been treating you so far? In this blog, it's gonna be a little bit different than what I normally publish. This one is about how wearing a bikini for the first time made me realize how important it is to love yourself regardless of what people might think. I didn't grew up loving my body. I grew up being so conscious of my stomach, the upper part of my body, my legs, my feet, basically everything. I always tell people to love and own their beauty, but deep inside, I struggle in doing so. Before the new year, my sister, cousin, and partner decided to go swimming. However, it was low tide when we arrived. My sister and partner saw how I wanted to take pictures despite the current situation of the beach so they told me to gather my strength and just do it. It was my first time wearing a bikini, I took pictures and even posted this blog in here.
Thankfully, there were only a few people at the beach so it made me feel a little bit better. However, I was still super anxious. My partner took a lot of photos but everytime I face the camera, I didn't like the way I look. So, I suggested that we took photos on a side angle. I really struggled on sucking on my stomach. My partner even took the photos on a low angle for me to look taller, for the record, I'm only 4'9.
They say that the first step to being confident is to fake it until we make it, so I did. It may take us some time to truly love and appreciate our own beauty, body, and self, but hopefully one day we'll realize how worth it we actually are. We all deserves to appreciate ourselves, living is not easy, let's not make it harder by hating our most lovable being. Let's all stick together and support each other.
