RE: Churros for breakfast & Some other goodies

Churros is a Spanish breakfast dish?
I don't ever recall a Spanish cuisine served anywhere around Vancouver.
My sons just treated me to Poke for dinner this evening, it's like Hawaiian Sushi which is something that we haven't tried.
I hope you have been having some success with your treatments @thisismylife

I don't know if it's Spanish from origin but I know there are tons of "churrerias" and also normal cafes serving churros for breakfast ..

Honestly, it's just like the Dutch "oliebollen" we bake for newyears eve but then in another form. Often not fried properly, having tons of oil inside, thus not appealing to me anymore, haha. Had too many of the reheated or fried in oil not hot enough ones to be done with them.. But kids love them.

I know poke bowls, I ordered a few in the past but always disappointed as I don't like the ratio of rice with the other ingredients :) maybe these places were just cheapskates I don't know if it's supposed to be served that way.

So far I only have swimming as "treatment" together with painkillers, this was my second weekend where both days were very manageable. This morning I woke up with pain in my hip (my mattrass sucks) which happens a few times a week at least but is not because of the hernia, the back is ok so far for the few hours that I'm awake.

As soon as they have a place for me, I have physical therapy 10x to help me with some things, I honestly think it may be enough looking at the improvements made by just swimming. I may have to get a swimming card after summer to keep doing it a few times a week..

Hope you're doing better yourself!
