What's your favorite thing to enjoy during the holiday season, and why?

I'm not particularly excited about the Christmas season because of the celebrations themselves. I think it's the best time for my family to take a break from our daily routine, which is always dominated by my son's activities at school and chess academy. So, when he's finally free of any commitments, we can get up a little later in the mornings and enjoy the cooler weather. The rest of the year it's very hot, but during this time we can sleep soundly until dawn without any problem.

I also like spending time with my son and my mom watching a series or having fun with board games. I know these activities might not have any special meaning for everyone, but we don't have as much free time to do them the rest of the year. I also like going to see the Christmas lights with my family in the plazas of my city and taking pictures of my son in those decorated places.

On the other hand, I like to spend my free time reading, catching up on my books, even staying up late into the night immersed in an interesting story. Reading doesn't usually take so long at other times of the year, but this is an activity that's much more enjoyable in the cold weather and with the peace and quiet that vacations bring 😊

¿Qué es tu cosa favorita para disfrutar durante la temporada de vacaciones, y por qué?

La época navideña no me emociona mucho por lo que implica la celebración, me parece que esla mejor temporada para que como familia tomemos un descanso de la rutina diaria, esta siempre se ve marcada por las actividades de mi hijo en la escuela y en la academia de ajedrez, por lo que cuando finalmente el está libre de cualquier compromiso, podemos levantarnos un poco mas tarde en las mañanas y disfrutar del clima más fresco de esta temporada, pues el resto del año hace mucho calor pero en esta época podemos estar acobijados en el sueño profundo hasta que amanece sin ningún problema.

También me gusta pasar tiempo con mi hijo y mi mamá viendo alguna serie o divirtiéndonos con juegos de mesa, sé que estas actividades pueden no tener algún significado especial para cualquiera, pero en el resto del año no tenemos tanto tiempo libre para hacerlas, también me gusta ir a ver las luces navideñas con mi familia en las plazas de mi ciudad y tomarle fotos a mi hijo en esos lugares decorados.

Por otro lado, me gusta pasar mi tiempo libre leyendo, poniéndome al día con mis lecturas incluso sin preocuparme que en la noche pueda durar hasta tarde sumergida en alguna historia interesante, normalmente las lecturas no suelen tomar tanto tiempo en otras apocas del años, pero esta es una actividad que se disfruta más con el frio y con la tranquilidad que me dan las vacaciones 😊
