✅ Introduction to 2024 Daejeon Bread Festival

The Daejeon Bread Festival will be held from 9.28 (Sat) to 9.29 (Sun) in Café Street, Soje-dong, Daedongcheon area.

This time, it will be held around the cafe street in Soje-dong.
The "2024 Daejeon Bread Festival" will be held with 71 bakeries in Daejeon, 10 bakeries nationwide, and a total of 81 bakeries participating.

The "2024 Daejeon Bread Festival," which marks its fourth anniversary this year, will be hosted by the Daejeon Tourism Organization and sponsored by Daejeon Metropolitan City, Dong-gu Office, Daejeon Confectionery Association, Daejeon Metropolitan City Branch, and Sungsimdang, and will be held in a variety of ways, including official events, market & experience programs, celebratory performances, purchasing events, and auxiliary programs.

The official event will include the ▲ opening ceremony, the ▲10m large-sized barquette cutting population, ▲ Daejeon and the nation's famous bakery collection, ▲ local commercial art flea market, ▲ bread jam making experience, ▲ local artist busking, Baker brass band, etc., and a quiz show for Daejeon bakery in the fun city.

In addition, on the first day of the opening as a celebratory performance, emotional music concerts such as Reveroff, Punch, and Lim Han-byeol will appear, and on the second day, stage performances such as Art Night in Daejeon Ipum Band, Unique Crew, and Popera Group Aura will be held.

✅ Review

I went to Soje-dong, the place of the bread festival, around 4 p.m. on the 28th.
I got off at Soje-dong on the 615 bus with my daughters and walked to the entrance of the venue.
The waiting line for entry was so long that I felt like I was over 500m.
I was able to enter after 50 minutes of waiting time.

A bread festival is being held in Soje-dong, close to Daejeon Station, in the background of the event.

We bought three types of bread from the recipe bakery and enjoyed them.
Before coming home, I decided to buy 3 peach buns at Myeongjindang, a specialty of Jeonju.

When you cut into the peach bread, there's a lot of ice cream inside. There are peach kernels inside. It is said to be delicious when frozen.

Now in its fourth year, the bread festival is expected to draw more than 120,000 visitors.
