RE: The Latin American Report # 348

My heart goes out to your people, who have not merited their deprivation. What I know is that my own hardships have hardened me, and have been hard enough to prepare me to live innawoods off what I can forage. While I would not trade my poor comfort today for that hardship, I know I am a better man for coming through those days.

Such hardships you endure give me more respect for the Cuban people, whom I have not heard whimper or whine, even once in my life.

Thanks!

Thanks for this big encouragement, my friend. Yes, we are somehow tough and resilient, although some despair is growing as the crisis continues to rage and hit harder. I have my house in order, but things are really bad for many people right now here, and it is a different country in sociological terms taking the 90's (after the USSR collapse) as a reference.
