Hello everyone, how are you today? Hope you all are good. So, welcome back to my new blog and today I got something different for all of you. Like different from my art blogs.
Today I am going to share a very healthy recipe that is Steamed vegetables.
I love to eat lots of vegetables and steamed one is my favorite.
So, Let's start by knowing the benefits of all the vegetables that I am going to use to make steamed vegetables.
FRENCH BEANS.
They are a rich source of fiber which helps to keep our digestive system healthy and it improves the health of the heart as well.
BROCCOLI.
Broccoli is again good for our hearts. It is full of nutrients that help in improving blood sugar levels, boost immunity, good for the eyes, and even contain cancer-protective compounds.
CORNS (sweet corns).
Very good source of vitamin C and fiber. It has an antioxidant property that averts illnesses like cancer and heart disease and it is also good for the eyes and protects the lens to get damaged. Corns contain a very high level of sugar and it is not recommendable for sugar patients as it can trigger sugar levels, so you can skip it as well. If you are health conscious and working on the reduction of weight then you can have it in very little amounts.
CAPSICUM.
Capsicums are amazingly nutritious and rich in antioxidants and vitamin A. They decrease the risk of cancer as they are anti-cancer benefits. They are good for the skin as well as it keep the skin clear and prevents form pimples.
BOTTLE GOURD.
It is one of the vegetables which is high in the water as when you cook it, it doesn't require much water as it releases its own. It is a rich source of vitamin C, K, and calcium. It controls the bad cholesterol level and maintains blood pressure. It is very good for diabetic patients as it stabilizes the blood sugar level.
Onions.
Very good source of minerals, vitamins, and fiber. It has an antibacterial property. It supports heart, bone, and gut health. It boosts immunity and can give you glowing and ageless skin. Not only good for your skin but it is good for your hair as well.
Let's cook it. The process is very very simple but a bit time-consuming as you have to chop a lot of vegetables. :)
Note* I do the chopping and cooking together and add vegetables according to the time they take in cooking. As some vegetables require much time and some don't so will go step by step.
First of all, you have to grease your utensil so that your vegetables don't get stuck. You can use any oil or you can use butter as well. Use according to your taste and you can increase the quantity of the oil as well.
_After the oil\ butter gets heated then put chopped _FRENCH BEANS.
Then cut broccoli and add it as well. You can add broccoli and french beans together as they both take equal cooking time.
Now, add sweet corns. You can skip it if you are diabetic. If you are health conscious then you can take a small amount of it.
If food looks good then it makes your meal more Healthy. As colorful food attracts more. So, I always add 3 colors capsicum red, yellow and green.
Now add bottle gourd. I never skip this part as most the people don't like it, especially at my place but when I add it to steamed vegetables then they don't recognize the taste of bottle gourd.
Always, in the end, I like to add onions as I like the taste of raw onions.
Now, for the taste buds add some salt and black pepper. And keep it on low flame so that they cook well and stire them in between. Don't forget to cover it during the whole process.
Ready to serve and enjoy it and satisfy your taste buds.
Note if you are allergic to any of these then you can avoid that particular vegetable. You can add more vegetables as well like potatoes, mushrooms, raw small tomatoes, etc. You can experiment as well by adding any kind of sauce as well.
Hope you enjoyed this post. See you in the next post.
Till then eat healthily and stay healthy. :)
It is looking delicious and my mouth is watering. I want to have this delicious dish right now.
