Deliciosos Tequeños (dedos de queso).Una Comida tipica Venezolana
Delicious Cheese fingers. A Venezuelan Traditional Food
INGREDIENTES:
- 500 gramos de harina
- 5 gramos de sal
- 90 gramos de azúcar
- 1 Huevo
- 70 mililitros de Aceite Vegetal
- 185 mililitros de agua
- 400 gramos de queso puede ser mozzarella o feta
- 200 mililitros de Aceite Vegetal para Freir

Primero debemos pesar nuestros ingredientes y añadirlos a una bandeja o bowl, una vez que tengamos todos nuestros ingredientes en el bowl mezclamos, primero podemos mezclar con una paleta para que sea mas sencillo y una vez que la mezcla este tomando consistencia debemos amasar con las manos, hasta que tengamos una masa homogénea.
First we must weigh our ingredients and add them to a tray or bowl, once we have all our ingredients in the bowl we mix, first we can mix with a paddle to make it easier and once the mixture is taking consistency we must knead with our hands, until we have a homogeneous dough.
Luego Debemos cortar nuestro queso en tiras de un tamaño estándar (ni muy grandes ni muy pequeñas) el tamaño que le demos a nuestras tiras de queso será el tamaño que tendrán nuestros tequeños, el queso debemos cortarlo en trozos que no sean muy finos ya que este será el relleno de nuestra masa.
We must cut our cheese into strips of a standard size (neither too big nor too small) the size we give to our cheese strips will be the size that our cheese fingers will have, the cheese must be cut into pieces that are not too thin since this will be the filling of our dough.
Una vez que tengamos nuestra masa lista y nuestro queso cortado debemos estirar la masa, para ello podemos utilizar las manos o un rodillo de cocina, debemos estirar nuestra masa y cortarla en tiras largas, estas tiras largas las utilizaremos para envolver los trozos de queso, debemos envolverlo en espiral dándole la forma característica a nuestros tequeños.
Once we have our dough ready and our cheese cut we must stretch the dough, for this we can use our hands or a rolling pin, we must stretch our dough and cut it into long strips, these long strips we will use to wrap the pieces of cheese, we must wrap it in a spiral giving the characteristic shape to our cheese fingers.
Una vez armados nuestros tequeños debemos utilizar un caldero pequeño en donde debemos calentar el aceite, una vez que este bien caliente el aceite colocamos nuestros tequeños para que se frían en el aceite, la cantidad de aceite a utilizar debe ser considerable para que asi nuestros tequeños se cocinen y frían de manera uniforme, la cantidad de aceite a utilizar va a variar de acuerdo al tamaño de la olla que utilicemos para freir, debemos dejar cocinar nuestros tequeños por 5-7 minutos aproximadamente, luego los dejamos enfriar un poco y están listos para comer.
Once our cheese fingers are ready we must use a small pot where we must heat the oil, once the oil is hot we place our cheese fingers to fry in the oil, the amount of oil to use should be considerable so that our fingers are cooked and fried evenly, the amount of oil to use will vary according to the size of the pot we use to fry, we must let our cheese fingers cook for 5-7 minutes approximately, then we let them cool a little and they are ready to eat.
Este es un plato ideal para preparar para una juntada con amigos o para una reunión, se suelen acompañar con salsa, la salsa puede ser a tu elección, puede ser Ketchup, mayonesa, alioli entre otras.
